Farmer's Market, Bowling, Garlic Fest and Hot Springs (Sept.4, 2022)

There was a Farmer's Market going on in Fairmont this morning so a few of us decided to walk down to it.

Of course the girls wanted to be wherever Jason was so they walked with us.

Awww, she loves her Papa so.

Zepplyn wasn't so stoked that she had to walk - Jason just needs a second set of shoulders.

She did manage to walk down though and Jason promised he'd give her a piggy back later.
He did give her a turn on his shoulders but once she was up there she didn't like it, thought it was too high.

There was a bit of smoke around today but you could still see the mountains a bit.

It was a pretty good little Farmers Market - lots to look at.

Of course we headed straight for the food vendors.

There was a pie truck so we had to try that.

They were savoury pies and they were really good.

Crystal bought Freya and Zepplyn both ponchos - kind of a hot day for a poncho but Freya didn't care.

After the Farmers Market - Jason and I both went for a little bike ride.

After the Farmer's Market we decided to go bowling.

Zepplyn trying out the one hand release.

Freya was doing the two hander.

Being goofy.

Crystal took this picture - she got some good air there.

Freya bowling - might be awhile before her ball makes it to the end of the lane.

Trying a new release method - you can see this ball pass the first ball she threw which still hadn't made it to the end of the lane.

She had to wait for her special pink ball.

We bowled a couple games but the girls were losing interest by the end so we figured it was time to go.

The girls wanted to be together so they drove home with Kody and Haylee.

Jason and I were all by ourselves and we saw a Garlic Fest event on the way back to Fairmont so decided to stop and check it out.

Wish we'd known about it a bit earlier in the day.

There had been several food trucks there but this was pretty much the only one left when we got there.
The Dilly.
They were out of all their 'garlic' specials but they still had some other stuff we could try.

We got brussels sprouts and street corn and both were delicious.

My entry stamp - a garlic, how cute.

This corn was fantastic.

The brussels sprouts were deep fried with lots of goodies on top an they were amazing too.
I would 100% go back to this food truck again.

After the corn we had some shaved ice.

The garlic fest was winding down by this time and there wasn't a whole lot else left to do so we headed back to the VRBO.

Freya wanted to go swimming at her favorite swimming hole so we took the girls over there.

It's shallow and it' hotspring water so it was a nice temperature.

Jason got right in there with them.

I love the sun shining on her.

She was just in her glory.
Jason got this amazing shot of her.

What a great place.

I love seeing her so happy.

What a pretty spot.

These little pools were the perfect depth for her and she just loved them.

It takes a lot of prep and proper form, you just can't dive right in.

Well maybe you can dive right in.
She was getting so brave and I was so proud of her.

Swimming in the hotsprings.

These are the little 'pools' that were coming all the way down from the waterfall.s

I'm not sure if they are naturally set up this way or if someone created them but they are really cool.

Just another view of what it looks like going up towards the falls.

I love the color of the water.

Jason was trying out his Go Pro under water and he got some great shots of her.

I love her expression on this one.

She was just having the time of her life.

If this was the only place we went to the whole time we were here she would have been perfectly happy and content with that.

The mountains peeking through.

Walking the rocky ledge.
I picked up water shoes for myself because it is pretty rocky around here - at the beaches too and my feet are tender.

One final splash.

Then it was time to head back to the house.

This is what some of the condos look like here - very beautiful.

We tried some yellow watermelon - tasted just like red watermelon.

We had reservations to eat at a German restaurant near Windermere but for some reason Freya did not want to go.
She was crying and making a big fuss so Jason said he'd stay home with her and everyone else could go - no sense taking her there kicking and screaming - that wouldn't be fun for anyone.

I decided to stay home as well so everyone else went on and we stayed with her.

She wanted to lay in the bed and watch some videos but she was out before I even got my phone for her.

Poor thing was just tuckered out.

Jason posted this cute picture he got of her today.
It really is Nirvana-esque.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
