I started my new book this morning.
Marilla Before Anne.
So far, so good.
Jason decided he was going to do a half marathon this morning.
He looked up a route, and figured if he started at Rainbow Haven (a beach not too far from my sister's) and ran over to Halifax waterfront, that would be 22k.
We went over to Rainbow Haven and walked around and checked it out a bit first.
It's a pretty beach.
I thought I used to come here when I loved here but it didn't look familiar to me at all.
Just taking a few pictures.
Then Jason took off and I decided to do my run right there.
I wasn't sure where I was going, I just started running and I ended up going in a loop.
I had to do the loop a few times to get to 7k but I didn't mind.
It went by water, through some wooded area and by a residential area so it was interesting.
The exercise details.
My average pace and splits.
After my run, I went back to Jen's, had a shower then headed over to Halifax to pick Jason up.
As I crossed the bridge, I saw Jason running on the other side of the street but he didn't see me.
I picked him up at the casino.
I brought him a change of clothes and we had planned on going for ramen in Halifax when I picked him up.
It was Friday and I knew there would be lots of rush hour traffic so we decided to head over to Dartmouth to eat instead to get ahead of it.
The place we decided on just happened to have a location in Dartmouth, Butaramen.
He ended up running closer to 25k which is so awesome!
He deserves the biggest bowl of ramen ever.
Selfie.
Jason took a picture of me for me.
It was a nice little restaurant.
The ramen was really good.
Butaramen had this little restaurant place right beside it that sold these savoury hand pies.
Humble Pie Kitchen.
You couldn't actually eat in there - you just ordered at the door and took away so we ordered a couple for later.
I got a donair one - it had donair meat in it and they squirted donair sauce into it when you ordered it.
We also got cheeseburger one as they said that was their best seller.
We took them back to Jen's with us and ate them later in the evening.
They were super good.
We spent the evening with Jen and the boys watching movies.
First we watched Enola Holmes.
Then we watched an oldie, Stardust.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
