Weigh In Day (Sept.28, 2026)

It's weigh in day.

I was excited to weigh in until I saw the scale.

I was 240.4 lbs
Right back where I was before.

I just can't seem to make any progress.

I am eating less but I'm not making the best choices and I know that.
I thought the Ozempic would help with the food noise and making me not want any of that junky stuff and at times I think it does, but not all of the time.

I have one more week at .75 mg then I'll jump up to 1 mg - hopefully I'll see a difference then.

Jason was out foraging again.

I headed to Whitecourt at the end of the day for a therapy appointment for my wrist.
My elbow and shoulder were bothering me today on that side for some reason.

I don't feel like I've been making much progress with my wrist lately, I still don't have the range of motion that I did before and it definitely isn't as strong.

My ring still won't fit down over my knuckle either.
I'm not sure if it ever will but I'm going to keep trying with the exercises.

The therapist said he thought there could still be swelling and I could still see progress so I'm hoping that he is right.

Freya called me a few times while I was in there.

I called her back when I finished up and she wanted to come over for a visit so I told her to call Jason.
She did and he was going over to get them.

She sent me a picture - she's so funny.

When I got home, he took Freya for a walk so she could find Ivy's house and she was so excited to find it.
I love that she still has that sense of wonder and believes in fairies and magic.
She came home, drew a picture and made Jason take it back so she could leave it in the house for fairy.

Jason grilled us up some chicken for supper - the girls both loved it.

He also made a plaster hand mold.

He wants to do it with the girls so he was testing how it turned out.

He did this trick on Freya.

Then Eden wanted a turn.

Freya made a magic potion with a bunch of items she and Jason found on their walk in the woods the other day.

Eden insisted on putting on her princess dress them she had some more chicken.
She loved it so much she even wanted to take some home with her.

Freya loved the bathroom, made me promise to leave it that way forever.
The both loved the Halloween decorations.

Except this creepy guy on the rocking horse that Eden has a love/hate relationship with.
She turned it on then it started doing it's thing so she kicked it and said "frickin thing".
Ha ha.

But then a little while later she went back an turned it on again.

I didn't get much more work completed in the bathroom but I'll try to finish up tomorrow after work.

My step count for the day.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Bathroom Refresh Complete - Almost (Sept.27, 2026)

I was up early again this morning, chilled and had a coffee before getting back to work.

It was weird not having any kiddos here but Kody and Haylee took them to the city to go swimming and stuff.

Jason got a letter ready to go to put in the fairy house that he's going to hide in the woods for Freya to find.

There's a little trail that goes through this gulley area here in town so he took it there and went off the trail a bit to find a spot to hide it.
I think she will be quite excited to find it.

Then he came home and cooked up some bacon dusted with flour.
It makes it extra crispy when you cook it this way.
I had a bacon sandwich for my breakfast and it was fantastic.

It ended up being a gorgeous day so Jason went out and worked on some projects like fixing up some of his Halloween characters.

I got back to work in the bathroom.
The paint was all dry so I was ready to get to the wallpaper.

It was peel & stick and the first time I've ever done that.
It went up pretty well, I had difficulties in the corners getting it to go on smoothly but overall I think it turned out good.

I love how well the color of the ceiling goes with the wallpaper.

I also put a coat of wax sealer on the cabinet that I stained.

Then the final step was having Jason install the new light fixture and the new medicine cabinet.

The medicine cabinet is quite heavy and solid.
I ordered it off of Amazon so I wasn't sure what I was going to end up with but it's great.

I also finished up decorating for Halloween and got all the bins taken back downstairs.

I like how the fireplace area looks.
I might sew up some ghost banners if I have time.

I did the coffee bar area too.

I stuck some little spiders in here and there - I might pick up some more and just put them all over the place.
I'm also thinking about making some of the paper chains that are so popular right now.

I thought I could get the bathroom knocked out in a day then when that didn't happen I thought I would finish up early today but it pretty much took the whole entire day and I didn't even get any of the stuff put back in there yet so technically I'm still not done.

I'm really liking it though and so happy that I finally got a big project knocked off the list.

I got all my steps in and then some, in fact my feet were hurting at the end of the day from being on them so much.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Started on the Bathroom Upgrade (Sept.26, 2026)

I was up early this morning, had a coffee then got right to work.

I started stripping everything out of the bathroom then got to work cleaning everything.

My plan is to wash everything, the ceiling and walls.

Then I'll do the painting, I'm going to paint the ceilings and the cupboard.

Then I'm going to sand down this cabinet and give it a new coat of stain.

I bought a new light fixture and medicine cabinet but I need to leave these up until I'm at the wallpaper stage just so I can see.

When I started painting, the paint was not covering properly, it was kind of weird.

When I painted our living room and hallway, the paint ended up peeling off because I think that the paint underneath it was oil based.

I was worried this would happen in the bathroom so I decided I better give it a coat of primer first just to avoid that happening so that's what I did.

I primed the ceiling and the closet then while I was waiting for it to dry, I worked on laundry, brought the Halloween decorations, started decorating and just did general cleaning.

The kitties were having a nice snuggle.

I did get the ceiling and the closet painted then I also sanded down the cabinet and gave it a coat of stain but that's as far as I got.
I will have to finish the rest up tomorrow but that's fine.

Jason cooked up some chili and buns for supper - yum!

We sat down and watched Practical Magic.
There is a part 2 out right now and I want to see it so I thought I'd get caught up and watch this one first.

When it was over, it went right into another old movie, Under the Tuscan Sun so I just watched it too.

While we watched the movie, Jason made a house for Ivy.
He plans on hiding it out in the woods in this gulley area in town.

He also made this fairy to go with it.

I didn't get out for a run but still managed to get lots of steps in today.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Quiet Friday (Sept.25, 2026)

Friday - Yay, my favorite day of the week!

Our tree is looking very Autumnal.

It was a really quiet at work - Friday is always so quiet.

Bonnie, Shennelle and I were the only ones there today.

There is an apple tree outside of Jason's office.

He picked a bucket full of them.

He made an apple crisp when he got home.

After work, I did some cleaning then basically just had a really quiet evening.
No visitors, just Jason and I.

I plan to get the bathroom worked on this weekend, starting tomorrow.
Tonight I just chilled though, went to be early.
I was tired and I just wanted to rest up and be ready to go in the morning.

My step total for today.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Princess Eden (Sept.24, 2026)

I worked out of the St. Albert office today.

I was training Nicole to be my back up for payroll for when I go on vacation.

I like going there to see the ladies but it just such a different vibe over in that office.

We finished up the training around 11 so I just found a computer to work at then at lunch time, Nicole offered to take me to a nearby spot for lunch.

We went to a German donair place near the office called DK Donair.

Their ingredients were all really fresh, they made their own pita pocket things and you could do beef or chicken, it was actually quite good.

I worked until around 3:30 then I headed to Penn to look for a bra.

I tried on a bunch of bras which isn't very fun but I did end up getting 3 so that was good.

I also made a stop at Winners and they had the princess dresses I was wanting to get Eden for Halloween.

They had a pink one and a yellow one so I called Haylee on Messenger so I could show them to Eden and she could pick out the color that she wanted.

She loved them and said she wanted the pink one so I picked it up.

I had considered possible staying in St. Albert another night and working in the office here tomorrow but then last minute decided that I wanted to go home.

Jason got the cutest picture today of Paddington sitting in Eden's chair.

I got home right around 7:30 and nobody was there.
Shortly after though, Jason and Eden came in followed by Freya and Theia.
They'd all been down at the park.

Eden remembered about the dress and asked about it right away.
I showed it to her and she made this big O with her mouth and covered her mouth with her hand like she was in utter amazement, it was so cute

Of course she wanted to try it on immediately.

Her and that Victory sign.

She let me put her hair up in a bun and she just looked so stinking adorable.

When you have a dress like this you just have to twirl - I'm pretty sure it's a law or something.

I don't think she was really feeling the best again today because she mainly just wanted to sit with me and snuggle until Kody came to pick them up.

Today's step total.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Visit with Jen (Sept.23, 2026)

After work today, Mom and I headed into the city.

I have to do some training at the St. Albert office tomorrow so I am just going to stay at Jen's tonight.

I thought Mom might like to spend a few days with her because she's being deployed in early December and she is gong to be gone for 6 months.

We just went straight to Jen's and hung out with her for the evening.

It was really chill.

Jason went for a run after work and ran into Freya and Eden at the park.

Eden wasn't feeling the best so Kody took her home but Freya stayed with Jason.

They collected some nature treasures together.

They got quite the collection going.
I think they are going to use them to create something for Ivy.

My steps for today.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Zucchini Loaf (Sept.22, 2026)

I was booked in to take First Aid training in Whitecourt this morning so I was up early and hit the road.

I did finally settle on a new book and I listened to it the whole way down.
It's also about an orphan just like The Calamity Club only this one is set in the 90's and it's a boy.
I'm liking it so far.

When I got there, I had to show them my certificate - if you get there to do your recertification before your certificate expires then you only have to do the one day instead of doing the whole 2 day again.

I thought I was expiring right away, like next week but turns out I'm good for another whole year so there was no need for me to even take the training today.

So I popped in at Walmart and picked up a few things (just to make the trip worthwhile) the I headed back to work.
It's been so quiet in the office lately, not many of us around anymore.

I did go home for lunch and I got out for a walk which felt good.

When I got home, I got to work right away cleaning and then trying to use up some of the zucchini we have.
I picked a larger one, hand grated the whole thing then made some zucchini loaf.

The girls came over and Eden got a hold of my phone and took tons of pictures of Jason

He was just working in the kitchen and she was being a photographer.

I don't even think he knew that she was taking them.

Then she took a bunch of Freya as well.

I ended up making 6 loaves all together.
Kody took one home with him when he dropped the girls off and the other we got into.

I managed to get all of my step in.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
