Weigh In Day (Jun.1, 2026)

Another weigh in day I'm not looking forward to.

I was 245.4 lbs.

What the heck am I doing.

I never thought I'd allow myself to get here again yet here I am.

That's up 1 lb since last week.

Creeping up and up and up.

I started tracking my points on the WW app again today - hopefully I can keep it up.

I just have to.

I hopped on the treadmill on my lunch hour.

I did a 2 and 1 run today.

Run for 2 minutes then walk for 1 minute.

By the end of the week, I want to try for a 30 minutes straight run.

I believe I can do it.

The girls came over for a visit after school.

Eden didn't want to stay at first so she went back home with Kody.

Then when he came back to pick Freya up to go home, she didn't want to leave.

I looked up the symptoms that Professor Snuggles is exhibiting - extreme weight loss and floppy feet.

We thought he'd maybe had a stroke but now after looking it up, it seems that maybe it's diabetes.

So I called the vet today and made an appointment to take him in for a check up tomorrow.

I also made an appointment for physical therapy - the soonest I can get in is next Monday.

I'm looking forward to it - can't wait to get my hand and wrist back to normal.

Got all of my steps in.

Home Made Dumplings (May 31, 2026)

We had a pretty good sleep in this morning.

It wasn't a very nice day out today but Jason still headed out for a run.

 

A heart shaped leaf caught his attention.

It was a lazy day.

I worked on a puzzle and the girls played and watched videos.

Jason decided to try to make dumplings himself.

They puffed up when they cooked.

He dressed them with the same kind of sauce that they put on the dumplings at the spot in Whitecourt that we like.

They turned out amazing.

Just as good as those ones which are the best we've been able to find.

I loved them.

Jason is so talented.

Kody came over around supper time to pick up the girls.

They didn't want to go home at first but after some convincing they were fine with it.

After they left, Jason and I went out for a walk.

It was wet and windy and not the nicest but I still enjoyed the walk and the fresh air.

When we got back, I finished up the puzzle that I had been working on earlier.

Another 500 piece that I'd picked up at the second hand store.

I liked doing this one too - the big color blocks made it easy.

It was a chill day.

We watched some Dateline before calling it a night.

Got all of my steps in.

Lilacs, Swimming, Trampoline Park and Ramen (May 30, 2026)

Jason went out for a run this morning.

He happened upon some lilacs in bloom.

So beautiful - I love this time of year.

Kody and Haylee dropped Eden back off to us - they were on their way to go pick up Kody's truck.

Freya wanted to go to the gym so when Jason got back, we all went.

Back at the room - she found the ladybug hat.

Although they were calling it the bumblebee hat.

Freya tried it on.

So dang cute.

Oh the frustration.

Love her, she's such a little performer.

We took them swimming one more time.

Freya and I wanted to get pedicures so we went to the St Albert mall.

Eden saw the carousel as soon as we walked in and she wanted to try it out.

She looks thrilled to be on the ride doesn't she?

Eden liked it.

She wiped out on her bike the other day and it's right on her knee which is moving all the time so it keeps opening back up and bleeding - Jason bandaged it up for her - he did quite the job.

Excitement overload.

We went for our pedicures.

While we were in there, Jason took Eden shopping and bought her this adorable suitcase.

They came back and met us and Freya was done.

I got pink toenails with white polka dots.

I decided to get my nails done too while I was there.

I got them matching, pink with white polka dots.

Freya left with Jason but Eden stayed with me and she wanted her nails done so I let her get them done.

She was so good and sat nicely while the tech did them.

She got them pink with polka dots too.

She immediately started biting it off as soon as we left the salon.

They went for a ride.

She tried out a virtual ride.

VR Ride - St Albert Mall.

Another VR Ride - Motorbike.

She was talking to herself on the ride - it was funny.

She said the ride was ok afterwards.

The girls wanted to go to the trampoline park.

Eden is so funny - she just runs around and talks to whoever - not shook about anything at all.

I got Jason and Freya to look my way but Eden was off.

There she is.

They were burning up lots of energy in there.

I was following Eden around in there for a bit - I was happy when Jason took over.

Poor little thing was just sweating - we got her to sit and have a break and a snack and a drink.

The looks she makes - cracks me up.

After the trampoline park, we went to Hu's Noodle Nook for ramen.

I had the Tan Tan like I always get.

It was a little different today but still delicious.

We also tried these purple yam croquette things.

Freya enjoying a potsticker and some ramen.

After we ate, we headed home.

We stopped at Walmart on the way out to get some groceries.

500 bucks later, we were on our way home.

It was late when we got back to Swan Hills - 11 pm.

So the girls had another sleepover.

We got all the groceries put away that we needed to then we pretty much went to bed.

I didn't get all of my steps in - close though.
