Rainy Spring (June 4, 2026)

It was another drizzly, grey day out there today.

I have been enjoying my book so much that I went for a walk on my lunch hour instead of the treadmill so that I could listen to it.

Even though it was rainy, it was just a light rain so it was nice.

I saw these flowers for sale on Temu but thought they might be something that I could make with tissue paper.

I thought they would look darling in the girls room.

I think I might give it a try.

I made myself a salad for supper - it was so delicious.

This is day 4 of tracking everything in WW and I'm feeling good about it.

I thought about doing a puzzle tonight and even started one but it was really hard.

It had the same image on both the front and the back of the puzzle pieces but shifted 90 degrees.

I picked out all the edges and started in on it but it was really tough figuring out which was front or which was back.

And after getting a few pieces put together, I decided that I just wasn't in the mood for that tough of a puzzle tonight so I it back away and I'll do it another time.

The girls wanted to come over for a visit so Haylee dropped them off, it was later when she brought them, Eden didn't want to leave Mom so she didn't stay but Freya did for a short visit.

Jason and I watched this show on Netflix, The Murder of Rachel Nickell.

Such a sad story, disturbing what one human being can do to another.

And the police bumbled it so much, it could have been entirely avoided, the mother of the murderer even reported him for having raped a woman years before the murders occurred (he killed another woman and her 4 year old daughter after he killed Rachel) and the police didn't do a thing about it.

Then they had another chance to stop him when he was a person of interest in a string of rapes - they went and asked him to come in to the cop station to give a blood sample. He said he would but never showed, actually packed up and moved that night but they didn't even bother to look for him and cleared him as a suspect because he was taller than what the victims reported.

We've been giving Snuggles his insulin shots - it doesn't seem to be making an impact yet but hopefully it does soon.

I'm not sure what we are going to do when we go on vacation - we are going to have to sort that out.

I missed my step goal but less than 500 steps.

Still a good showing though.
