I'm Going To Miss You Canmore (Oct.18, 2021)

We will be spending a lot of time on the road today so we made sure we got out for a run first thing.

It was shaping up to be another gorgeous day here in Canmore.

We ran the trail by the river again today - it's so pretty.

Jason got these action shots of me.

I was nearly at my 5k and he was already done and just waiting for me.

The water in the river is so nice and clear.

I have to say that I really fell in love with Canmore this weekend.
We are even considering buying a condo here - something we are going to look into anyway.

Always feels good to get a run done!

Got 5k in - woot woot!

The exercise details

My average pace and splits were up slightly.

Part of the trail we went on to get back to our room had art posted all along it.
It's called the Spur Line Art Trail.
We took pictures of some of our favorites.

Some deer or elk.

A cougar.

The bridge we ran over this morning.

A bunny.

A bear.

Some crows.

Trees and mountains.

Fireworks.

Sun rising over the mountains.

Another bunny.

Yup, couldn't agree more!

Stick people doing various activities.

We headed back to our room, changed, packed up and checked out.

Then we walked across the street to Harvest for some breakfast.
Josh told us that they have really good breakfast wraps.

They had this cool bike on the fence outside.

It smelled wonderful in there - they said they did all their baking from scratch.

I ordered some sweets to try.
They brought those to us first so we dug right in.
The mini choco chip cookies were the best thing on the plate.

I got the Cowboy wrap with tomato soup.
It was really tasty - I could only eat half of it.

After we ate, we hit the road.
We have about a 5 to 6 hour drive ahead of us - at least we'll have nice weather for the drive.

We got behind a wide load that was taking up pretty much both lanes of traffic and going super slow.
So we stopped in Sundre for a while just to get away from it and checked out a few stores.

When we got back on the road it was long gone - thank goodness.

We stopped in Drayton Valley at Walmart to get a few things we needed then were back on the road.
We made it home around 7:30 and first thing we did was call Kody to see if Freya could come spend the night.

She came over and was glued to the Tik Toc videos on the phone for the first bit.

Then she got into Papa's gingerale and was suddenly raring to go!

She comes up with all these games to play.

She'd get Jason to pretend "tend" that he was a baby dropping his bubba.
She's telling him to drop it here.

Then she would pick it up and give it back to him.
She had him do it over and over.

"Baby, tend you lost your bubba"
She cracks me up.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
