Freya Day (May 12, 2023)

Jason had a visiter first thing this morning.

She must have had a rough night.
She laid back and chilled on the couch for a bit when she first got there.

It wasn't long before she was looking for something to do though so Jason got out some paints for her.

She painted the little bunny I picked up at Hobby Lobby in Vegas for her.

She's getting pretty good and spelling her own name.

They got ready to go out for a walk.

They came and met me at the office and we went for a little walk - it was a gorgeous day out there.

She wanted to get out of the cart and walk for a bit.

The sun was in her face for the first picture so I took another and now her hair is in her face.

I headed back down to the office.

I love this time of year when all the leaves are starting to come out on the trees.

Everything looks so fresh and new - it's so pretty.

Jason and Freya went back to Burger Baron again for donairs.

On the way home she had to stop and get on her rock.

I'd gotten an order for a couple of the Simply Blessed signs and since we are heading to the city tonight, I wanted to get them finished before I left.
I had put a coat of white on them this morning before I left for work then Jason put a coat on them for me this morning.
So when I got home for lunch, I was able to sand them, add the stencils and the wreaths and they were good to go.
I forgot to take a picture of them but I think they turned out well.

I left work a bit early and we headed in to the city - Freya was really looking forward to going to the Hotel and going swimming.

Car selfie - she was pretending to take our picture but took her own.
It's a trick she has been enjoying lately.

Then she snapped a ton of pictures and they all looked pretty much like this.

Another car selfie.

Our first stop when we got to St Albert was at Michaels so I could get some resin then we went to Winners/Homesense and we ended up getting a couple of cute outfits for Freya and she wanted to change into one of them right away.
(It was a set of two pantsuits for 13.00 - a great deal and she loved them).

Next stop was Goodwill so I could look for some wood for signs and some fabric.
I found neither but Freya found a scooter.

She was test riding it all through the store.

It didn't take her long to get the knack of it.

Checking herself out in the mirror.
Love the hand on the hip!

We walked over to the dollar store next and she brought the scooter with her over there.

She was zooming.

Pretty good deal for $7.50.

We figured we'd done enough shopping for the day and decided to get something to eat.
We found a new (to us) pizza place in St Albert that had good reviews and figured we'd check it out.
It was called Pizza Garage and they do bar pies, Chicago style and NY style.
We ordered a couple pizzas and decided to wait there for them.

They had all these interesting drinks so I got Kody this because he's a big Dragonball Z fan.

Freya picked a banana Chubby.

She also got an ice cream - they do gelato and she got the Strawberry Cheesecake.
Jason and I shared a blueberry basil one - it was pretty good.

She made her own version of a float.

She got tired of waiting inside for the pizza and wanted to go outside to blow off some energy so we let her.

Posing for me in her new outfit.

Ha ha - love that she closed her eyes.

Pizza was ready so we went back in and I noticed they had cans with Pikachu on them - I showed her and she wanted one of course.

We got the Margarita bar pie.

The Chicago style pepperoni.

And a bbq chicken bar pie.
We had a slice there while it was hot then took the rest with us and figured we'd find a park somewhere to sit and eat it since it was so nice out.

The only park we could thnk of was the splash park in ST. Albert so we headed there.
The splash park itself ended up being closed but the rest of the park was open.

WE found a bench and it happened to be near a volleyball net area which was kind of like a gian sandbox.

Freya wanted Jason to bury her.

She thought it was pretty fun.

Jason was pretending to walk on her and she thought that was pretty funny.

Until she got a bit of sand in her face.

Then it was time to get out.

Funny how kids love doing this.

From there we headed to the hotel.
It was already 9 pm by this time - it stays so light out so late this time of year that you sometimes lose track of time.
She really wanted to swim at the hotel pool so we wanted to make sure we took her to do that.

We stayed at the Coast downtown and luckily the pool there is open until 11 so we had lots of time to spend there.

We were back and forth between the pool and th hot tub and we stayed right until it closed at 11.

Then it was back to the room.
We got her into some comfy pj's, got her a snack (leftover pizza) and gave her a phone so she had some entertainment.

What a life!

She still makes the best faces.

Crystal posted these pictures from last night, it was dress like up day at school today and Zepplyn went dressed up as her mom, Crystal.

I love the tattoo - she's pulling it off.

Freya happened to be there when they were getting ready - not sure why she looks so down.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
