Busy Day (June 2, 2022)

I am so excited that today is rest day for me!

I am planning on thoroughly enjoying it!

Mom had an appointment in Whitecourt at 2:30 today to see a specialist about having a scope done and I was talking to her family doctor yesterday about her iron levels (she's been anemic) and also her leg because it has been bothering her.

When I told her that we were going to be in WCT today she asked if we could come for 1 ppm so she  could see mom.

Then, I also called my dentist about my tooth that has been bothering me and they were able to fit me in to see someone today at 4 which is awesome, saves me having to make another trip back to WCT.

The appointment with Dr. Jane went well but she did want mom to go for an xray of her leg, luckily we were able to fit that in before the specialist appointment.

The Specialist does want to send her for a scope, he said it would be 6-8 weeks before he could get her in and I told him that Mom wanted to go to PEI for the summer and he said that would be fine, it wasn't urgent, they'll just schedule her scope for September or October.

I dropped Mom off at Walmart while I went to the dentist.

My tooth is cracking and it has two huge fillings on it which they said they can't really replace because there isn't much tooth left so I'm going to need a crown.

I'll have to wait and see how much my plan will cover before I make an appointment to get that done so it likely won't be until I get back from NS.

After we got all the appointments finished up (phew, that was a busy afternoon), I picked up a few things for supper on Sunday (I'm having a birthday dinner for Kody, boiled dinner) and the last of his 30 gifts that I needed to get.

Then we hightailed it home because I had an FCSS meeting to make it to at 7 pm.

What a busy day!

I walked to the meeting because it was such a gorgeous day out and it was a quick one so after I went for a bit of a walk to get some steps in.

When I got home, Jason was just heading out for a bike ride.

He'd stopped at Randy & Crystal's to take a look at what they need to get their hot tub up and running and Freya just happened to be there with Zepplyn and he told the girls he'd take them for a bike ride and get an ice cream.

So I got my bike and went along for a ride as well.

When we went to put the girls in the bike trailer, we found a bird shell right beside the bike.

The girls were pretty amazed to know that a little bird had hatched out of it.

We stopped by the store for ice cream and turns out that Jason and I were the only ones that actually got ice cream.
Zepplyn wanted chips and Freya wanted gummy candies.
They both also wanted slushies which neither of them drank and we ended up throwing out.

Zepplyn was being camera shy.

She was so happy that I let her get a big bag of chips.
She told me that I was the nicest person that she knows, ha ha.

Sitting with my girlie.

When we took the girls back to Crystal's (Freya was supposed to be having a sleepover), Freya started crying, very pitifully, and wanted to come to our house.

I could tell she was tired and not feeling well and she just wouldn't take no for an answer, she was almost distraught that we were going to leave without her and honestly, I just don't have the heart to say no to her and make her cry so we ended up taking her home with us.

We both have to work in the morning but Crystal said I could drop her off at 7 when I was heading to work.

The poor little dear always seems to be getting sick, she has a croupy sounding cough and she just wasn't herself.

She did want Jason to play in the basement with her for a bit but then they came up and she sat on my lap and promptly fell asleep.

I hope she feels better soon!

I wish I had the guts to do this in my bathroom.
I LOVE it.

So, I'm afraid I have to report that I did NOT get my 13,000 steps yesterday.

I realized once I got in bed that I was short by a couple thousand and had I been a bit closer to my goal I may have gotten back out of bed to get it done but 1900 is a lot of steps and I was tired so it is what it is.

It's like the 2nd or 3rd day I've missed this year but that doesn't mean I'm giving it up, still going to strive for it the rest of the days this year.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
