Shopping Expedition (Jan.12, 2019)

I really wanted to get up early and work out before we left for the city but bed was just too comfy, I couldn't convince myself to get up. (I didn't even try to be honest).

I finally did get up a bit later in time to get a shower and make a coffee so I was ready and waiting to go when the girls pulled up at 9:00 am.

We stopped at A&W in Barrhead.

I had a breakfast sandwich.

Then we carried on to the city.
We wanted to see Second Act and the only place it was showing was South Side Cineplex.
So we figured we'd take advantage and go to Ikea while we were over that way.

We wandered around and looked at the showrooms in there.
Holy heck is it ever easy to get lost in that place.

They had some nice cupboards and I was checking out dressers because I want to get a couple new ones for our bedroom.

I kind of liked this one.
I need at least 5 drawers and I need to get 2 of them.

I need at least 5 drawers and I need to get 2 of them and so far this is the best deal I've found.

We were also checking out the curtains because NCT wants some for a backdrop for her son's wedding that is coming up this summer.

They had curtains that were a steal of a deal.

I picked some out for my craft room - they were only $15 for two panels which I thought was amazing but when I really thought about it, I decided that I didn't really need them.  I was just buying them because they were cheap and I want to eliminate doing that so I put them back in the end.

All I walked out of there with was a $1.00 lint brush.

We did have some lunch in the Ikea restaurant.

I had thai chicken soup, a bun and a smoothie drink.

It was ok, not the best but really cheap so it didn't matter.

We decided we would rather shop all day so we skipped the movie and headed back to the West side of Edmonton because we know it better.

We checked out Homesense - they must be between seasons because they didn't really have much there.

Except this dresser/cabinet that I loved.
It was a little out of my price range though.

I also went over to Jysk and picked up a comforter set for my niece.  Mom had gotten her one for Christmas but it was too big so I got this one to replace it.
The other one is in the truck and I'll return it later when My Honey brings it in.

We went to Ricki's after and shopped around.
I ended up finding a few things that I liked and so did the girls.

My Honey had arrived in the city by then.
He came in the store there and surprised me but didn't really want to stay clothes shopping with us so left and went to Value Village.

We went over to Reitman's next and I got a top over there too.

It was 5:30 by then so we were getting hungry.

Joey Mayfield was right there so that's what we picked.
My Honey came and met us and got there just as they were taking us to our table.

Our waiter was really funny and personable.
He said it was his first week working there and only his second day out on the floor by himself.

There was this pool right in the middle of the restaurant - cool but it took up a lot of space.

I order the Farmers Market Chicken Salad.
It was good.

Both BH and NCT ordered the Prawn Red Curry Bowl.

They loved them, said they were delicious.

My Honey got the Ahi Tuna Club and he liked his as well.

The only picture we got of us, we both have our eyes closed, ha ha!

We ordered a Chocolate Lava Cake

and Italian Doughnuts to share for dessert.
I was good and skipped that - I just had a couple of the raspberries that were on the plate for garnish.

After supper we parted ways.
They girls were going back home and My Honey and I were staying the night.

We considered going to a movie but there wasn't really anything playing that we wanted to see.

So instead we made a trip back to Homesense - My Honey wanted to have a look around in there.
I ended up getting a photo album.
I'm going to start going through photo's and get some of them put into a photo album.

Then we went to the Yellowhead casino.
Neither of us won big but it was entertainment for an hour.

We called it a night then and went back to the hotel then.
I was a little hungry so got a protein bar at the hotel "store".

We watched a few crime shows on tv.
It reminded us of Seattle where we watched Forensic Files every single night when we got back to the hotel.
It seemed like it was on 24/7 there and it's so intriguing.
Whenever a new episode starts it's hard to pull away from it and not watch it to see what happens.

It was lights out at midnight.
I didn't get a work out in today but I did get over 10,000 steps so I don't feel horribly about it.
I made good food choices too so I feel like I've done well.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
