Spring Has Sprung in Beautiful British Columbia (April 20, 2019)

Sleeping on the train wasn't terrible and I woke up feeling rested.

Woke up to some beautiful views too.

We stopped for about 10 minutes at this station somewhere in BC and this horse in the field just stared at the train the whole entire time.
He didn't have the nicest place to hang out in, poor thing.

Then we were back on our way.

The sun was shining and it looked like a glorious day out there.

It was really tough to take pictures without the reflection of my phone in the window.

We went down to the cafe on the train and ordered some breakfast.

It was good and reasonably priced.

Then back to our seats to watch the beautiful scenery as we passed by.

Just gorgeous.

Vista after beautiful vista.

A tunnel up ahead that we are about to go through.

We went through several and I each time I would think about how many men perished when they were blasting through the mountains to build this railroad.

Nothing around for miles but the beauty of nature.

This river looked like it was very fast moving.

Coming up to another tunnel.

Looks like there is actually a house out here.
It would be such a secluded place to live.
Not for me!

Wow - just look at that.

Double wow.

This is the spot where the two different rivers meet.
I think one is the Fraser and I forget the name of the other one.

One of the rivers is the brown water and the other is the green color.
Pretty cool.

It continues on like that for a little ways too.

I love seeing these old bridges.

That water looks pretty muddy.

Super fast too - would not want to fall in there!

We passed some interesting places.

Like this.
That's quite the cliff there.

Everything was so green here.

The buds are out on all the trees.

My afternoon snack.

Finished reading this book and I have to say, it was awful.
The storyline was not very believeable - it was a quick read but it sucked.
My opinion is, don't waste your time on this one.

Spring has already arrived here.

The grass is so green - it looks so nice.

Check out that tree - it does't just have buds, it has full grown leaves.

The trees are full of blooms - I love the pink ones.

It looks pretty much like summer is here already, they are a good month or so ahead of us for sure with their seasons.

I think the reflections of the trees in the water always looks so pretty.

The logs on the water reminded me of the old show, The Beachcombers.

There was even a little tug boat pulling them along - that might have been old Relic out there driving that boat.

I was shocked to see all the green and the leaves.

And just wow, can't get enough of the pink blossoms!

We were supposed to get to Vancouver at 6 pm but we got there 3 hours early.

Just waiting for our luggage.

It was a gorgeous summer day outside in Vancouver.
It also happened to be 4/20 too so it was crazy busy.
We had to wait over a half hour for a taxi and we couldn't all fit in one so we got two taxi's over to our hotel.

We stayed over in Richmond so we could be near the airport.

We got all checked in then My Honey, Uncle A, Cousin K and I all walked over to a Tim Horton's we'd passed on the way to the hotel.

The flowers are all in bloom, these were right outside of the hotel.

These were so pretty - I didn't know what they were but later found out they are magnolia's.

We had a hard time finding the Tim Horton's so we walked around and got a lost a little.
Had to get our google map out to get back on track.

I didn't mind getting lost so much because we got to see some beautiful blossoms on our walk.

We ended up at Cherry Lane Farm.

It was full of beautiful blossoms, we weren't sure if it was public or private though so we didn't go further than this

We eventually found the Tim Hortons then made our way back to the hotel.

Cousin K was wanting some pasta for supper, preferably Olive Garden.
We couldn't find one nearby but we did find the Italian Tomato so we walked over there.
It happened to be pretty close to the hotel.

It was a busy spot but the found a table for us all.

Mom, My Honey & I.

We were teasing mom a bit because she decided to have a glass of wine.

I ordered the lobster ravioli but my stomach started feeling really bad so I couldn't even eat it.
I tasted the sauce, it was divine and I was so bummed but I got them to pack it up and took it back to the room with me.

My Honey ordered a pizza and he said it was really good.

After we ate, we went back to the room.
My tummy was feeling a bit better so My Honey and I took a walk over to this casino that we saw close to our hotel.

River Rock Casino Resort.
It was a pretty fancy place.
Neither of us had any luck gambling and after about an hour, we headed back to the room.

Miss H posted this today of her and Baby F.
Little Miss Serious there!
Her serious expressions crack me up.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
