Seattle Trip Day Five! (Dec.30, 2018)

Our plan for today was to check out Pike Place Market then hop on the ferry to Bainsbridge.

The market was really busy, so much so that you could barely get close to any of the stalls so we just went right on through.

The last time we were in Seattle we did a food tour and the guide recommended this place, Etta's, to us so we went there to get some breakfast.

It was super busy but because we were ok with sitting at the bar stool tables, we didn't have to wait for a seat.

We waited FOREVER for our food.
I think the waiter came and apologized a few times.
I don't know what the hold up was because other folks all around us seemed to be getting their food.

It finally arrived and it was ok but not worth the wait or the price.

I ordered the breakfast special because it came with corn bread but I ended up not even liking it.

The fries that came with My Honey's breakfast were good so it wasn't a total loss.

After we ate, we headed back towards the market.
Funny it looks like there is barely anyone around but it was jam packed.

Ha ha - he's giving me the look.

We wanted to go have a look at the gum wall again.

It looks like they may have recently cleaned it off again and started over.
There wasn't nearly as much gum on it this time as there was last time we were there.

There's all the people.

Wearing the new sweater I picked up yesterday.
I love it.

The gum art is getting creative.

We walked down to the ferry terminal and got tickets to Bainsbridge.

It's a pretty good size ferry.

The Space Needle.

Looking back at the Seattle skyline.

This girl must have been freezing, I mean, it was nice out but is wasn't summertime nice.

Once we got moving and the wind was blowing, it was a little chilly.

We still opted to sit outside though.

Getting close to our destination.

This handsome guy 💗💗💗

Nice view of Seattle from here.

We disembarked and just started walking.

It had a cute little downtown area loaded with shops and restaurants.

It was very quaint.
Love the snowflakes.

I saw a sign for ice cream and suddenly craved on something fierce.

I tried a kind that had cardamom in it and it was so delicious.

My Honey's was delicious too.

After our ice creams, we continued exploring.

There was a pretty town square area.

It had a little gazebo.

Some neat old buildings.

This place was huge.

They had cool sculptures dotted here and there.

Wish this place had been open, we would have totally eaten there.

I really liked the ball hanging from the tree.

Another sculpture.

It was just a really pleasant place to wander around for a day.

We stopped in here so I could use their facilities and I bought a trail mix kind of cookie that was so tasty I didn't pause from eating it to take a picture.

We took an Uber to the casino and I found a new game I hadn't played before and was really lucky and won $250.00.
I was so excited that finally I had some substantial winnings that I could share with My Honey.
We didn't stick around either, we took the money and ran.

We hopped on the ferry back.
This picture is blurry but I like how it looks.

It was a little chilly but a nice evening.

The space needle all decked out in purple.

We spent most of the ride inside except for the very end.

Cold but happy.

Once we got back to Seattle, we found a place to have some supper.
Ivar's is famous in these parts!
We'd eaten there last time and it was really good so we went back.

I like the giant letters on the ceiling but couldn't get them all in one shot.

It is a huge restaurant.

They are known for their seafood.

Studying the menu.

We had calamari and it came with deep fried basil which I love, love, love!

We shared an order of clams - super good!

And we had chowder of course - also super good.

Great food - even greater company!

After we ate, we Uber'd back to the hotel and watched more Forensic Files.
Guess it's kind of been a thing this trip.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
