City Trip Pics (Mar.7, 2024)

Haylee posted some pictures of their shenanigans while in the city.

Lots of swimming

Freya just loves the pool and luckily Eden does too.

Eden all cozy in the bed.

Awww, with her little teddy.

Love how she's holding it here.

Eden and Mama.

Haylee dyed her hair pink for Easter.
It looks great on her - she can really pull off any color.

Rob had to work late so he asked me to stop by and let the dogs out on my way home from work and I didn't even open the gate to go in when Kody and Haylee pulled right in behind me.

Haylee said Freya just couldn't believe it when she saw me there, she'd been asking to come over and it was like I was right there waiting for her.
So she did come with me and we went to my place.

Kody and Haylee did come over later and I helped them do their taxes.
It took most of the evening.

Jason kept Freya busy when he got home.

Freya wrote a song.

Freya's music video debut.

Freya REALLY wanted to spend the night even though we both have to work in the morning but she has no school so Mom said she could stay with her in the morning.

After Kody and Haylee left, I still needed A LOT of steps so I went down and got on the treadmill to get it done.

It took me exactly and hour to do it but it's done and I feel great about that.

Pretty little Hazel.

She is such a sweet little kitty.

When I went back upstairs after getting my steps in, he had gotten the projector all set up and they were in bed watching it so I joined them.
She was actually watching YouTube videos so Jason and I watched a couple Vlogs before heading off to dreamland.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Massage Day Woot Woot (Mar.6, 2024)

It's Wednesday already, I think Kody and the girls will be back tomorrow and I can't wait to see Freya.

I think they've been having fun doing som swimming at the hotel pool and she loves that so I'm glad they got to have some family time.

I added one last touch to my bunny - pink cheeks.

Then I priced it and stopped at the Hardware on my way home for lunch to add it to my booth.

I had to run 5k today - Wednesday is always a 5k run day so when I went home at lunch I knocked it out on the treadmill.
Did it at a speed of 4.5.

I was so sweaty that I had to take a quick shower before heading back to work.
I have an appointment for a massage right after work and I wanted to be clean for that.
Don't want her to have to touch my sweaty self.

She has it set up really nice in there.
It's so calming and relaxing.
I always love massage day.

After the massage, I grabbed a quick bite to eat then it was off to a Mission Possible meeting.
It went pretty quickly so that was nice, I was back home by 8 pm.

Another Bunny (Mar.5, 2024)

Today is Jason's last day off before he heads back on shift and he's running 30k today - it warmed up slightly so it isn't as bad as the weekend but it's still pretty cold so I'm very amazed by him.

He's so dedicated and I am so proud of him.

My workout today was 5 minutes running easy followed by
6 x (2 min Hard run, 3 min walk)
followed by 5 minutes running.

I did the Easy portions at 4.5 then the hard runs I did at 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5

Overall it isn't a huge amount of actual running time but it's such a great workout.
I was a total sweaty mess when I finished up.

I sewed up a bunny with some fuzzy fabric that I had and it turned out good then I wanted to add some embellishments so I made these little carrots to put in a pocket I added to the bunny.

There he is.
I think he turned out super cute.

I had to hop on the treadmill for a short time before I went to bed so that I could make my step goal for the day.

Now I can go to bed, yay!

Right before I went to bed I was looking at social media and saw this post that Meri Brown made about Garrison Brown which is Janelle's son (these are all people from the show Sister Wives that I watch).

I was so shocked.

Then right away I saw this post by Janelle.

It was on my mind all night long, I could barely sleep.
How heartbreaking for the whole family.
Such a tragedy.

Weigh In Day (Mar.4, 2024)

Monday means weigh in day.

I was 208.4 lbs.

That's up 1.4 from last week - I'm not really making any big progress, just going back and forth gaining and losing the same couple pounds.
I'm not giving up though.

On my lunch hour, I stopped at the hardware and added my newest creations to the booth.
Nothing is really selling at all - not sure if people aren't into my stuff or just Easter type stuff in general?

I had curling tonight, we hare still doing our 4 end games and we only had one game to play, so I was home by 8:30.

I still needed a few more steps when I got home so I hopped on the treadmill to get them done.

Steps complete for another day!

Jason made buns with anise and orange zest in them.

The came out of the oven as I was getting off of the treadmill and I could not resist them.
Freshly baked bread straight out of the oven is something I absolutely cannot resist.
They were heavenly.
Full disclosure - I had two of them!

Long Run Day (Mar.3, 2023)

A couple of weeks ago when I went to the city Mom asked me to pick a cat bed up for each of the cats.

I didn't think they would use then at all but I got them anyway.

Hazel proving me wrong.

She lays on it ALL THE TIME!

I had to run7 miles and I would have preferred to do that outside but it was far too cold out there me so treadmill it was.
I went downstairs first thing too in order to get it completed and out of the way.
I figured it would take me about 1 hour and 45 minutes and I was right on the nose.
I ran the whole thing at a speed of 4.5 which felt tough but I did it.

I was soooo happy to be done and absolutely soaked.
So I had a nice long hot bath afterwards.

Jason got to the point of being able to start painting his zombie leprechaun.

He made the eye kind of popped out and attached with a bunch of elastics, he's hoping it falls out and just kind of hangs there when the kids start pounding on it.

Last time he made the zombie it was carrying a pot of gold and this time it will be carrying a severed head.
Quite an escalation.
Kody and Freya dropped by shortly today to borrow our laptap.

He needs to be in the city for school this week (he's taking his Journeyman's Picker training, and Haylee and the girls are going with him.
I'm bummed we won't see her all week but hopefully she'll have a good time.

Cozy, Crafty Day (Mar.2, 2023)

We had no Freya this morning and no plans to do anything so after our morning coffees, Jason got to work on his paper mache zombie leprechaun and I got crafting.

I got to do the fun part and add all the fun embellishments to the bunnies I made yesterday and this is how they all turned out.

I wanted to bring out the purple of this pattern.

I wanted to put some flowers on one of them by the ears but it didn't look right so I put them by the neck.
I didn't like that either but once the glue was on, I couldn't think of anything to cover the glue if removed them so they stayed put.

I like the white one with the just a pop of color, I think it's my favorite.

Another patterned one.

Then I decided to put the little birds on dowels and then in these spindles that I'm still using.
I love how they turned out.

This was a different bunny pattern that I tried.
The ears were supposed to stand up straight but they kept flopping over so I just glued them in place.
I wasn't going to do a face at first but I think it needed one so I stitched on a nose and painted on some eyes.

He looks a little oddball but I still like him.

I priced the bunnies at 10 which is not very much when I take into consideration the materials and the time but I don't think they would sell for more here - and I really enjoy making them.

I went for a bit of a walk this morning when Jason went for his run but it was super cold out so just wne to the store and back.
So I had to hop on the treadmill to get the rest of my steps.

It took me just under an hour, I did run for a minute here and there - quite often actually, just to get the steps in faster.

Then I decided to do another puzzle and that's what I spent the rest of the evening doing and I finished it just in time to go to bed.
