Treadmill Kind of Day (Aug.31, 2019)

When I got up this morning, I headed straight down to the treadmill and got 20 minutes in, then I made a coffee and ran myself a nice, hot bubble bath.
I stayed in there much too long but I finished reading Anne of Windy Poplars (book 4 in the series).

I spent most of my day today catching up on the blog and running downstairs every hour to hop in the treadmill.
Every time I was on it, I would watch some more of 13 Reasons Why.
It's kind of aggravating but yet it pulls you in at the same time.

Meanwhile, this is how the kittie's day looked.

They look so sweet when they are cuddled together like this.

My Honey was smoking chicken at work today in preparation for tomorrow's bbq.

I walked down to the store in the afternoon to pick up some wraps.
I decided to make fajitas for supper.
I could have driven down there but wanted the extra steps.

When he got home, he noticed some of the wild flower seeds he planted had finally bloomed.

I'm glad to see some of them finally bloom and I hope more do before we get out first frost.
It's fun to watch them open up because we aren't sure exactly what they might be.

I cooked up beef, peppers, celery and onion for the fajita's.

They didn't have any regular wraps so I had to get spinach ones which I like anyway so no big deal.
The fajitas were delicious if I do say so myself.

When My Honey got home I was at 19,000 steps so he and I went down on the treadmills long enough for me to reach 20,000 steps.
I ended up with 2.5 hours on the treadmill today.
I also got a couple of episodes of 13 Reasons Why watched by the end of the day.

Somehow, I missed getting my 250+ steps a couple of hours.
Not sure how that happened but I'll have to be careful about that tomorrow.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

Just Mr.H and I! (Aug.30, 2019)

When I got up this morning, the first thing I did was hit the treadmill.
I saw that the new season of 13 Reasons Why is out so I started watching it.

I had a kodiak cake and eggs for breakfast.

My brother asked if I could watch the kiddos today and of course I said yes.
He dropped Mr H off and Miss A had slept at a friend's house last night so she was going to ride her bike over later.

I decided to try to get in my 1000 steps each hour again so basically I was going down there every hour and hopping on for 10 minutes or so.
Mr H would come down with me and workout on the other treadmill.

I just let him walk at the slowest pace it would go but it was enough.
It kept him occupied.

We decided to go to visit Baby F but they were getting ready to go camping so we went to the park instead.

He wanted me to push him as high as I could - it reminded me of how much I used to love to swing when I was little.

Silly boy.

He was running all over having a grand time.

Then it just so happened that Miss A and her friend showed up at the park too.

I let them play for a bit then they headed back to her friends and I took Mr H for an ice cream.
Then we walked home.

It was after 5 when Miss A finally called to come over.
It was raining so I went and picked her and her bike up.
Mr H was hungry and wanted an egg and cheese sandwich.
I made him one and I was shocked when he actually ate the entire thing.

I'd let Mr H pick out some m&m's when he & I went to the store earlier and he shared them with his sister.
I'd had quite a few steps in by this time of the day and I was feeling tired.
We settled in and watched some Netflix.

My Honey was late getting home and the kids were thrilled to see him.
However, only minutes after he got home, their mom also arrived to pick them up.
She is taking a gel nail course and was in the city today for a test.
She passed so now she is certified which is really exciting!

After they left, we cooked up supper.
We had steak, beans & new potatoes with the delicious garlic/parsley sour cream I fell in love with at my In-Laws.

By the end of the day I had racked up an hour and 30 minutes on the treadmill, not too shabby.

The schoolboard had a notice about a change in school start time on Facebook and Miss A was in the picture they posted.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

Making an Effort Feels Good! (Aug.29, 2019)

The Smart TV in the work out room has been a great addition, we are loving it.

I got an early morning workout in, 41 minutes done!

Always feels so good.

At work today, I continued with my new personal goal of trying to get 1000 steps per hour.
It takes some effort but it's worth it.

Made myself a quesadilla pizza for lunch.
It was pretty darn good too.

I also had some watermelon for a snack.

Supper was Caesar Salad and Chicken.

Between lunch hour and after work, I managed to rack up another 51 minutes on the treadmill.
Go me!

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was such an awesome idea!

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

RIP Sage (Aug.28, 2019)

This is the shelf that My Honey made for us to put our new tv on.
I had these corbals (they were actually book ends) sitting around and he painted then sanded the wood for the shelf.
I just love how it turned out, it's perfect.

I don't know why my phone started going dark like this in the evening and I thought it wouldn't show when I took the picture but it did.

I got in 36 minutes on the treadmill before heading to work.
For some reason the incline of 5.0 felt really hard this morning so I turned it down.

Still managed to work up a sweat though.

My Honey has a new 'coach'.
Ha ha.

He just doesn't have any boundaries at all.
Professor Snuggles just watched it all from the treadmill.

The sun was out in all it's glory today.

So I didn't mind one bit getting out for a few walks to the road.

Sun, delicious, fabulous, wonderful sun!

For lunch I had a salad with left over trout.

I wore a brand new white shirt today to work so of course this happened.
I got blue ink from one of the photocopier ink cartridges all over me.
It never fails, I think it's the curse of the white top!

Between hopping on the treadmill a couple times at lunch then again after work, I racked up another 30 minutes.

I had hamburger soup that My Honey made yesterday for supper.

Then I headed out to the golf course for a paint night.
It's the first one I've ever been to.

All that's left now is the dock.

Miss H and her mom were in Barrhead today so they were a bit late getting there but it didn't take them long to catch up.

My finished painting

It's amazing how each person can put a different spin on their painting and yet they all come out so beautiful.

My Honey made a quesadilla pizza like we saw on YouTube for supper when he got home from work.
I tried a slice and it was really good.

Some very sad news today.
My brother and SIL's dog Sage has been very sick the last week or so.
They discovered that she had an enlarged heart and fluid on her lungs which they were trying to treat her for.
She stopped eating though and was getting very weak.
They took her back to the vet today and discovered cancer on top of everything else.
There was nothing that they could do and they made the tough decision to put her down.
Sage was a big sweetheart and a softie.
She just loved to cuddle and be petted.
Such a very nice dog - it's so sad.
She will be greatly missed.

I think everyone should read this and often as a reminder
It's absolutely true.

Somehow I missed an hour so I didn't reach the 250+ steps per hour goal, but I did reach all the rest.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy.
