Tummy Bug, Office Gift Exchange (Dec.11, 2025)

I ended up cancelling my blood work appointment this morning because I still wasn't feeling the best.

I took some Pepto Bismal when I woke up - I did stay in bed a little later than normal because I wasn't sure if I was even going to go to work today but I started feeling better after the Pepto kicked in so I got up and headed to work.

I had a really long meeting this morning, it started at 10 and was still going at noon.

We had our office Christmas lunch and gift exchange today and it was set to start at 11:30 so I ended up sneaking out of my meeting before it was over.

We had ordered in Chinese food for lunch today and it was pretty good.

Of course I have to get a picture of everyone.

I feel fortunate to work with a bunch of people that I really like and that feel like family more than co-workers.

Made sure to get a selfie with Shennelle so there would be proof that I was there too.

Murray was making a big show of going over to pick out a gift.

He's such a funny guy.

The gift I brought ended up being one of the popular ones this year, a fuzzy blanket.

Blair got it first, then Bonnie stole it from him, then Tim stole it from her.

I ended up getting a massager and some chocolates.

We all cleaned up then I had another long meeting I had to get to in the afternoon.

That made the afternoon fly right by.

I left a little early to go pick up Freya and take her to dance.

Then I picked her up when it was over and she wanted to come over for a visit.

Her friend Theia came over to hang out with her for a couple hours which was great because it gave me a chance to get together kits for tomorrow.

The guys at the warehouse cut out 16 boards for us to take to St Albert tomorrow to make snowmen.

I did up 16 baggies with all the fabric, greenery, berries and other decor pieces each person would need to deck out their snowmen.

I sewed up 16 little Frosty tags too.

I honestly still wasn't feeling the best so after I got that stuff done, I kind of just chilled the rest of the evening.

Freya really wanted to spend the night and I wanted her to stay too but Jason and I both had to work in the morning so Jason ended up taking her home around 10 and I went to bed immediately.

I sure hope this tummy bug that I have goes away soon.
