We kind of hummed and hawed about going into the city today but before lunch decided we would go and take the girls for the night.
We decided to take them to a trampoline park/indoor playground.
So we got ready and picked Eden up on our way out - it was close to 1 pm by the time that we left which is later than we normally would like to but that's ok.
We headed straight to an indoor playground in the south side called All Stars and we divided and conquered.
Jason stuck with Freya and I stuck with Eden.
She was like a little whirlwind and she's so pushy - if there was a kid doing something that she wanted to do, she would just push herself right in there and take over, no apology or anything.
Like this xylophone thing - another kid was playing with it and she just pushed her way right in there and took over.
I apologized and tried to get her to give the little drumsticks back but the other kid just ended up leaving anyway.
She could barely even reach this one but that didn't stop her.
I tried to keep her from doing that so would take her around to different spots, I took her upstairs and there was a bouncy pad up there.
She jumped for a bit.
I took her to the little toddler section, it just had these giant soft building blocks.
She played there for a bit but she got kind of bored so we were on to the next thing.
She tested out the rocking horse before we left that section.
Freya wanted to ride this little kid ferris wheel.
She might be a little big for it.
She didn't care.
We met up with Jason and Freya and we switched, I stayed with Freya for a bit and Jason followed Freya around.
They had these swing things that Freya really enjoyed.
They were all around this big spiderweb thing that the kids could climb up through - it was really cool.
These ball swings were Freya's favorite though, she spend a lot of time on them.
She did this over and over and over.
She wanted me to just stand and watch her so I did.
Meanwhile, Jason had Eden on this Merry go Round
She's telling Jason to push it 'really hard' which I think just means faster.
She is a little dare devil.
He followed her all through the jungle gym.
There was a small fort kind of thing that she liked playing on.
Jason had her at the slides, he said this little girl was on the yellow slide and Freya wanted on it so she just pushed her down the slide.
OMG - what a little terror.
Nah, not feeling it.
Eden noticed the ferris wheel ride and wanted to try it.
So proud of herself.
We all met up again and we took the girls upstairs where the bounced for a bit then we decided it was time to head out.
We'd spent about 2 hours in there and they were tuckered out and we were all hungry.
We ended up going to Chick-Fil-A for supper and their mascot was there interacting with the customers,
Eden loved it.
So did Freya for that matter.
The cow would come over to our table for a visit then would go to mingle and Eden would be yelling across the restaurant saying 'Hi Cow'.
So cute.
Then the cow would come back and give her a high five and do some dance moves which the girls would then try to copy.
They did this several times over the course of our dinner.
Eden is saying so much more now, some of it is hard to understand and then some of it is so clear.
Some of her favorite things to say lately are:
'Stop it'
'Hey Guys' or 'Come on Guys'
'Love You'
'Eden, Eden, Eden' - her little chant, she pumps her arms up at the same time so it's super cute.
'Mine' which she says in this growly voice and she puts on this scowl to go with it.
She also makes a burping noise then will say 'I burp' and laugh hysterically,
She also announces when she farts and she thinks that's pretty funny too.
She is such a funny character.
After supper we headed to our hotel room.
We booked at the Four Points by Sheraton by the airport.
Their beds are so comfy and it seems every time we stay there, we have to get up in the middle of the night practically and head to the airport so I was looking forward to having a full night of sleeping on their comfy beds with their comfy bedding.
The girls had some down time just watching some videos and playing games on the phone.
Eden sat on the coffee table like this the whole time, I tried to move her to the couch which I thought would be more comfortable for her but she didn't want to move.
We took them down to the pool for an hour or so before it closed.
We had the whole place to ourselves which was nice.
Why do kids always want to drink the water from the pool?
They enjoyed themselves and so did we.
Freya is always great at coming up with games to play in the pool.
Normally one of us is a cute little pet that another of us wants to take home but the third person is the mean parent who won't allow it.
Or we are often sharks or mermaids that someone is trying to steal.
She has such a great imagination.
It really is so much fun getting to spend time with them - they are both such sweet, loving girls and we love them very much.
Freya laying in bed watching videos - her little belly though - I love it.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
