Renovations Continue and Sleep Over (Nov.6, 2025)

While I was at work today, Jason was home working on some renovations of his own.

The medicine cabinet in our bathroom started kind of falling apart so Jason took it down, glued it back together then painted it black and put it back up.

He also found some extra flooring that we had and painted some up to see how it might look on the wall.

I think it would actually look ok but I'm concerned about how easily it would scratch up so I think I'm going to stick with the pine shiplap for this wall.

 

Kody was working late and Haylee had to work too so we had the girls over for a sleepover.

Freya did their hair and make up and Eden was so proud.

It's so sweet how lovingly Eden is looking at Freya.

Two little beauties - inside and out.

Eden was loving looking at herself in the mirror.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to get the wall painted with the girls there but Jason kept them busy and I was able to get it done.

I got all the tape pulled off and it looks good.

It is still not exactly the color I was looking for but it's staying.

Having a snack.

We put a movie up on the big screen in the bedroom for the girls to watch so that we could get into bed early.

I was tired and I had to work in the morning.

Freya got right up close to watch it.

We thought it would settle them down but Freya was doing shadow puppets.

And Eden had to try doing them as well of course.

We did eventually get them to settle down and go to sleep though.
