Getting Into the Christmas Spirit and Bonnie's Birthday Lunch (Nov.18, 2025)

 I haven't been feeling very Christmas-ie yet this year so I figured it would maybe help to get decorating.

Since I can't quite do that at home yet, I got to work decorating my office first thing this morning when I got there.

I Christmas'd it right up.

The wreath on the door looks a little dinky though - I might try to find something better.

I got some reindeer and trees on top of my filing cabinets.

Lots more trees and birds.

I love trees as you can tell.

I also started listening to a new book today and picked a Christmas one just to help get me in the spirit of the season.

The Secret Christmas Library.

I only listened to a little bit of it so far but I think I'm going to like it.

We finally took Bonnie out for her birthday lunch - her birthday was on Oct.22.

She's got a bone graft in her mouth in preparation for a tooth implant and it got infected and has just been causing her a lot of misery.

It's finally better so she can enjoy food again.

She got a turtleneck while we were in shopping the other day as well.

She got the only color they had that I didn't get but I do quite like it.

I had a club sandwich with a salad.

It was good.

I picked up a container I had at home of things I made for the Christmas craft sale last year that didn't sell and took it to the office with me.

I ended up adding a few more decorations to the office.

I forgot to take pictures but it's really looking Christmas-ie in there now.

I offered to come up with a Christmas craft for the admin to do at our Christmas lunch/meeting again this year so I've been looking for ideas.

I thought this snowman one might be cute and easy.

Kody had to run to the dump after I got home from work so I watched Eden for him.

Freya was hanging out at the library with her friends.

We used to do little interviews with Freya when she was younger and I love looking back at them and listening to her sweet little voice.

So I thought it would be fun to try one with Eden.

She's talking so much more lately, saying more words and trying to put them together into sentences.

Sometimes I can understand right away what she's saying and other times it just sounds like jibberish.

It doesn't matter though, I could listen to her chat all day long.

Kody was only about an hour so I didn't have her for long.

I again spent most of the evening working on the blog.

I will be so happy when it is all caught up.

I haven't tracked my points the last couple days but I don't think I went over and I still made good choices.

But I do think that tracking is the only way to know for sure and tomorrow I am going to make that effort to track what I put in my mouth.

I really want to get down under 220 before the end of the year.
