We had a bit of a sleep in this morning then we headed into St Albert and I dropped Jason off so he could go for a run and I went shopping.
I already shared this picture from the other day but Jason posted it on Instagram and I had to share his caption.

After Jason's run (he ran 10k in the bitter cold, I swear I am in awe of him), we went for some lunch at Famosa Pizza which we both love but haven't been to in a long time.
Jason had the Vesuvio (which has spicy salami) and I had the Cavoletti (which has brussels sprouts, dates, blue cheese, walnuts and honey).
Both were delicious but I was feeling Jason's more today.
I just love the tomato sauce at Famosa - it has such a good flavor to it.
Kody had called and said they changed their minds about coming because the weather was bad.
I told them it wasn't that bad in the city so then they changed their minds again and decided they would come.
We headed to the West Edmonton Mall because I had to pick up a few things there.
It was around 4 pm when Kody, Haylee and the girls finally made it to the mall.
We met them and took the girls so they could go shopping.
They wanted to go for a ride on the stuffies so we did that.
Eden couldn't decide which one she wanted.
She started out with the piggie.
Then she changed her mind and wanted the bear.
She was hanging on like it was for dear life.
Ha ha - she cracks me up.
And they are off.
I think Freya likes that she is old enough to ride on her own now.

Next we checked out the Lego store and we were in there for a long time.
Freya recently found a Lego set at the house and really enjoyed playing with it.
Eden was loving the Duplo blocks - there were animals and she loved them.
We bought the girls each a set - Eden's had a Mama and baby lion and a Mama and baby penguin and she really liked playing with it a lot.
She had to get us to open it for her as soon as we got to the car.
I was craving ramen so we went to Hu's Noodle Nook for supper and I had the Tan Tan like always.
It is so darn good.
Even looking at the picture now I want it again already.
We just got Eden a bowl of rice and she was chowing down.
She kept getting Jason to add more Soya Sauce to it for her.
Of course she wanted 'Papa phone' as she calls it to watch videos while she was eating.
We got free spring rolls with our order and Freya snatched them quickly.
She did end up sharing.
The faces this kid makes.
We were looking for a hotel to stay in for the night and when Freya saw the picture of this pool area at the Sandman Hotel, she immediately wanted to stay there so we booked it.
We've never stayed there before so not sure what it is like but I'm sure it will be fine.
We let Kody and Haylee know and they booked a room there as well.
The first room they gave us was on the bottom floor and smelled like old stale smoke so we asked to change and the put us on the second floor and we had a great view of the pool.
We did take the girls down to the pool to go swimming.
We stayed right until it closed at 10 pm.
We saw Kody and Haylee checking in when we were heading back to our room.
They got a room right across the hall from us so the girls were back and forth for a bit until it was time for bed then they both ended up with us in our room.
Freya crashed as soon as her head hit the pillow but Eden took a long time to settle down.
She did eventually though.
We had booked a room with two Queen beds which is much more comfortable for the four of us.
