The Tree is Up (Nov.25, 2025)

This memory popped up on my Facebook today.

It was from 2017 - my mom and my grandma.

At lunch today Jason brought the Christmas tree in and we got it set up.
I'm hoping I ca get it decorated tonight.

Kody ended up calling me just before I got off work and asked if we could watch the kiddos while he went to Whitecourt so I picked them up on my way home.

Jason was finding some things for them to do.

He made this taste test box.
He had drinks inside that the girls had to sip and then try to guess what they were.

Eden wanted to play too.

Freya made one for Jason but she put salad dressing and lemon juice in it.
Glad I didn't have to taste those ones!

She's funny that one!

He also cut a big Santa for her to color.

She decided she wanted to paint the fairy house for Ivy.

She painted the front of it like a gingerbread house.

Then she painted lights on the roof.

She did one side pink and one side green.
It turned out so well.

Kody has to leave for work super early so the girls are going to spend the night, I'll drop them off with a sitter in the morning.

So I didn't get the tree decorated tonight but I got everything else done as far as decorating goes so I'll be able to start on the tree first thing tomorrow as soon as I get home.

I put my new tree skirt under to see how it looked - Paddington loves it.
This is his favorite place to hang out at Christmas time.

I have to say that I love the tree skirt too, it looks so good.

When I had my pap smear back in March, I was talking to the nurse about my IUD and hormone replacement and who I could chat with about all that stuff because I don't have a doctor.
She told me that she goes to a private clinic where the specialize in that type of thing so she recommended them.
Today, only 8 months later, I finally checked them out and made an appointment to chat with them next week.

I had another doctor check my blood last year or the year before and she said according to my levels that I'm finished menopause.
Which is great, I didn't really get any bad symptoms or anything.
I do struggle with insomnia sometimes but I don't know if that is what is causing it?
It's not every night though - it's very random.

Hopefully we can figure out if I need any hormone replacement.
I don't feel bad or anything but I feel like I could have more energy and I'm really struggling to lose weight these last few months.

Anyway, that's all for today, until next time, be happy!
