Painting is Coming Along (Nov.7, 2025)

I woke up to a frosty morning.

It was cold but beautiful.

Everything looks so gorgeous when it is covered in hoar frost.

These trees I always park by were looking straight out of a winter wonderland.

 

Jason was keeping the girls occupied and having fun.

He let Freya mix up and cook a cake.

Eden wanted to help.

Eden was being the taste tester.

Freya was testing out her giant fork.

Ha ha.

Eden found my headphones.

There is a new Christmas movie coming out that I am going to try to watch.

Freya did my hair for me when I got home from work.

She took this picture of how it turned out.

I got to work on the wall behind the table.

I got two coats of the primer on, then two coats of the green along all the edges.

Then I got the full coat of green.

The one coat was enough coverage except in a couple small spots that I think I just kind of missed but I got it all done tonight.

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to do that but the paint dried really quickly between each coat so that allowed me to work much faster than I'd expected.

Getting the section of the wall behind the hutch was a bit of a challenge but I managed to do it without having to move the hutch which was perfect.

Now I just need to let it dry really well for a day or so then I'll put everything back.

Kody came and picked up Eden but Freya ended up staying the night.

They were supposed to go to Regina today with Haylee, Crystal, Zepplyn and Rita but Haylee ended up not going so neither will the girls.

They were looking forward to it, at least Freya was, so we decided we'd take them to the city this weekend to do something fun.

We will likely go tomorrow and spend the night.
