Time with the Girls (Oct.23, 2025)

We had a nice day today so after she got up, Jason took Freya to the park.

There were a bunch of kids playing there so Jason when over and picked up Eden to take her to the park too. 

After they got some good playing in, they went and had something to eat at Swan Palace.

Then they played in the park downtown - Jason asked me to pick them up there on my way home from work.

So I stopped by and picked up Eden, Freya wasn't quite ready to go yet so she & Jason went back to the park.

Eden and I hung out all evening.

She is such funny little character.

She started this thing recently where she chants for herself, she'll say "Eden, Eden, Eden".

It's so hilarious, it cracks me right up.

She'll usually then start chanting for others, she'll go through all the names that she knows like Freya, then Papa, Meemaw (which is me, she has a hard time saying Grandma), Mommy, Daddy, Nanny and so on.

I just love it.

Jason and Freya came back to the house because they were getting cold but they just had a snack, bundled up and headed right back out.

They were making scary videos at the park and Freya was having so much fun.

I let them know that I told Kody I'd take the girls home in a half hour and Freya said she was obsessed with half an hour, that's her favorite number.

It was 8 pm when we took them home so we didn't get much accomplished at the house and sometimes I feel like my housework and projects are just building up but then I remember that having this time to spend with the girls is a gift.

I'll always have projects and housework but time with the girls I won't always have and it is such a precious thing.

I worked on my blog a little bit - I've been writing everyday but haven't been posting because I like to post in chronological order.

I have some catch up to do for August and it's really hanging over my head.

I am going to really focus on getting it caught up, even if it is just a little at a time.

I also want to do some painting in the house.

When I take the Halloween decorations down, I want to get a few things done before I put the Christmas decorations up.

So I'm going to look for paint this weekend and maybe some fake shiplap.

I might just check out the price on real ship lap too.

At least I hope I can fit that in, we have a jam packed weekend planned so I'm not sure how much time I'll have for shopping.
