Baby F is Two Today! (Aug.22, 2020)

Our Baby F turns 2 today.

Two years ago today, the most precious little girl entered our lives and we were immediately in love.

How two years have passed already I do not know but I'm so thankful for them and for her and for every minute that I get to spend with her.

She is truly such a joy.

Guess maybe I should give her a new name since she isn't really a baby anymore but nothing else feels right - my sweet baby she will always be!

When I got up this morning, I jumped right in to banner making mode.

Meanwhile, My Honey went out and made stands for me for all of the characters I made so they could stand on their own.

My Honey was making pizza for the party and I had to decorate the cakes and gather everything together to take over to my sons.

My son came over and picked some up and by the time I got over there, they'd already gotten the decorating done.

The banner turned out really well.
So did the blocks.
I was really happy with how the 'Welcome to Freya Street' sign turned out.
I would have liked to put it on a post like a real sign but I just ran out of time.

Grover and Zoe welcoming the guests.

I think Big Bird was one of the hardest characters to cut out because there were so many little details.

All those little characters mom cut out ended up on the cups.
I was putting them on upside down at first - I hope nobody notices.

I made fruit trays - can you tell it's Elmo and Cookie?

I made Big Bird too.
I couldn't find a mango for his beak so My Honey picked out this melon, I don't even know what kind it was but it worked perfectly.
I should have had it pointing more to the side than down but I think folks will get the point.

The cake was a bit of a fail.
The icing wasn't as thick as it should have been and one of the cakes started to crack.
Initially I just wanted to put sprinkles all around the cake but I couldn't find any so I decided to use m&m's then because of the crack, I ended up just putting them all over the whole cake to try to cover it.
I wanted to get some little Sesame Street characters to put on the cake but I had no luck finding any.

I added some candles and it does look festive anyway.
I put it in the fridge hoping to stop the cracking.

My Honey meanwhile was at home cooking up a storm.
I stopped by a local place here and bought large pizza boxes from them so we could transport the pizzas over to my son's place.

He made a couple with alfredo sauce which I thought might not be a wise choice for the kiddos.
It ended up being a big hit and was the first pizza to go.

She was digging Elmo.

I was really hoping to get a good picture of her with Elmo but this was the only one I got.

I did get this nice one of her, her Daddy and Elmo though.

Cake time!

Putting it in the fridge didn't really stop the cracking but it still tasted good.

Blowing out the candles.

At least all the colors in the cake looked nice.

Present time.

The other kids wanted in on the action, I don't blame them.

It started out as a rainy day but the sun came out in the afternoon which was great.

The kids got to play out there - they have a huge backyard so there was way more room than in the house.

She unearthed a soother from somewhere and she never liked it as a baby but for some reason decided to walk around with it in her mouth for most of the afternoon.

Ha ha - looks like she's on a mission.

My Honey got some cute pictures of her down by the tree in the bottom of the yard.

I'm amazed he got her to sit still for so long - usually she wants to be on the go.

Aww this is a cute one.

They had the Razor out for a bit - that was kind of chaos.
Kids were climbing in the back of it and falling off.

Not very good drivers either - they were plowing into things left, right and center.
Nobody was injured and they all had fun so all was good.

After most of the party guests left, the family just stayed and hung out on the deck.
It had turned into a gorgeous day.

My boy and My Mama.
My brother A.

Mr H missed out on the Razor ride and the battery was dead so it was charging so he was a bit bummed about that.

Chilling with My Honey.
Note how she still has that binky in her mouth.

Eventually we did go home and although I was honestly exhausted from a few busy days, I still needed some steps to reach my 10,000 step daily goal so we went out walking until I got them.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
