Mom & I were up early this morning and off to the city for a Doctor's appointment.
Since she had the episode last week, a neurologist wanted to see her.
It was my first time in the hospital in the city since Covid started and we had to wait in a line to get screened before we could even go in.
It wasn't so bad, it only took about 10 minutes.
We barely had to wait at all to see the neurologist.
I really liked him.
He explained things really well to us.
He said that the episode mom had where she couldn't swallow might have been another small stroke or maybe a seizure.
He wanted to do more testing to find out and asked if we could stay and get that done today.
He wanted to do a CT scan and an EEG.
Since we were already there and because it's kind of concerning, we decided to stay and get both done today.
We got in for the EEG right awy.
The CT Scan involved a much longer wait though.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
We finally got in though and the scan itself took only minutes.
The neurologist said he'd call with the results but basically if they saw stroke activity on the scan, that means more testing to figure out what caused it.
(They never did figure out what caused her stroke first time around).
If not a stroke, then they wouldn't do anything else just yet for the seizure.
They would wait and see if it happened again then start treating her for it at that time.
We had left the house at 7:30 and it was 2:30 by the time we left the hospital so we were both starving.
We went to Opas and had Greek salad with chicken and shrimp skewers.
Low in points and delicious.
We made a few stops for shopping.
I picked up more fall foliage at the dollar store to decorate pumpkins with.
We got some essentials at Walmart and we made a Costco stop.
Then we headed home.
It was about 8:30 when we got home, not a super long day but I was tired.
I had leftovers for supper when we got home.
My son and Baby F popped over for a visit.
She asked for the Tickle Monster to come get her but they she wouldn't let him anywhere near her.
She thought it was great fun fending him off.
She found some plastic cutlery and she was cutting up 'pizza' and serving it to us.
