Family Craft Night (Dec.23, 2019)

I woke up early again today so as per my usual, I made a coffee and found a movie to watch.

I went with Christmas on My Mind.
It was ok, if I'm being honest, I've kind of had my fill of Hallmark Christmas movies for this year.

After the movie, I finished up the snowmen paintings for the girls.
I made one for my SIL, my niece, Miss M and my DIL, Miss H.
I'll let them dry then I'll get them wrapped.

Next I worked on the growth chart for Baby F.
I got the stencil on for her name.

I also added the watch me grow to the top.
I went over the stencils with Mod Podge then left it to dry.

Mom and I went out to pick up a few last minute things here in town and to send out some Christmas cards.

We stopped over at my son's for a visit, Baby F was having lunch.

She loves her cheese.

Miss Z was there and I had a little gift for her that I let her go ahead and open.

My son was busy wrapping all the presents he picked up yesterday.

Baby F's toenails were painted and it looked so cute.

The bearded hat was making its rounds through the house.
Miss Z tried it on.

So did mom.

Miss Z was helping mom put in on properly.

She loved it so much, she had to put it back on.

My son got out the vacuum to clean some dog hair off the couch and the noise scared Baby F at first so she climbed up with mom.

Once she was safe in Nanny's arms, the vacuuming became a funny thing.

That little giggle is the best!

She did NOT want to share Nanny with Miss Z AT ALL!

I don't think I've ever seen a little one like water as much as she does.

Just being silly.

Louis found a new buddy.

So much for all that hair cleaning my son just did.

I like the cute lady bugs on her outfit.

I tried to do a french braid in her hair.
It was my first try, it turned out ok.

They were having Christmas early at Miss H's moms later today so they were getting ready.
Baby F had no idea about that though, she was just having a good old time.

Ha Ha - the hat is still making its rounds.

We decided to head out to let them finish getting ready.

She just loves my brother R, she calls him Ra and wants up with him whenever she sees him.

Sweet cheeks!

Saying good bye.

We went home and I got everything ready for 'family craft night'.

I invited everyone over to make gnomes.
My SIL had a client (she does nails) so she couldn't make it but my brother and the kiddos came.
The first thing we did was fill socks with rice for the bodies.

Mom didn't make one but she joined us.

Miss M helped Mr H out a bit.

He decided he wanted his gnome to have a black nose instead of a pink one.

My brothers hung out but didn't make gnomes themselves at first.

First round of gnomes complete.
From left to right they belonged to me, Mr H, Miss A and Miss M.
I think they turned out awesome.

It was a fun activity even for those that didn't make gnomes, they did offer advice though.

I know Miss A liked it and she and Miss M even made a second one.

Once the kiddos were done, my brothers each decided to make a gnome.

They got busy filling up the bodies and had fun picking out clothes and hats.

My brother R's final creation.

Miss A made a baby one.

They had to head out after that and so did Miss M and right after that, my son and family showed up.
They'd had an early Christmas at Miss H's moms place tonight and stopped over on their way home from it to possibly make a gnome.

Baby F dived right in for the snacks.

She was dipping cheese into some dip that I had.

Soon enough she forgot about the cheese and was just licking the dip right off of her fingers.
Ha ha.
I had to throw it out after this but it was worth it to watch her!

Miss H ended up making two gnomes and my son made one.

He left the sock whole for the hat and I like how it looks sagging over like this.

They are pretty crafty these two.

I think doing the family craft was a great activity - everyone enjoyed it.
I'll have to think of something for next year and maybe a couple to do throughout the year.

It was kind of late by then so they got ready to head home.

My Honey was home by then and we tried to get a picture of the kitties with their Christmas hats on.

I was able to capture this one before Paddington managed to get it off.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
