I stayed up all night working on my puzzle until it was done.
When I finished and looked at the time, it was 4:30 am.
It was a fun puzzle but I think it will be a while before I do another 2000 piece puzzle.
I went to bed and got up around 9:30 so not a lot of sleep last night.
After my coffee, I had a nice long bath.
I had told Haylee I'd take her to Whitecourt today if she wanted.
Some of her family were heading there from Barrhead to go skiing.
She & I and Freya headed there around lunchtime.
It was quite warm out today so everything was melting - it was raining too which made it tough for skiing so they had given up before we even made it to Whitecourt.
So we went shopping at the second hand store instead and at Walmart.
Then we got dumplings for supper and headed back home.
Freya went swimming with her friend in town here then we picked her up from the pool at 8 and she came for a sleepover.
Jason and I were trying to watch the last episode of Andor but we couldn't get Disney+ to work, it just kept buffering.
Such a pain - it's partly why I cancelled the channel before.
I think once we this month is up, I'm going to cancel it again.
I was tired after my late night anyway and I think Freya was tired too so we went to bed fairly early.
I think we'll try to have a good sleep in tomorrow.
Some of Haylee's family were going in to the city today to go to the Water Park at West Edmonton mall so I said I'd go in as well and help out with Eden.
I figured if I stayed with Eden, Haylee could go on the slides and in the big wave pool with Freya.
I met them there around noon and we stayed for a couple of hours.
I never get any pictures of it because I always leave my camera in the locker.
I think the girls enjoyed themselves.
Afterwards, we went to the food court to get something to eat.
Crystal came with us.
Haylee and Freya
Zepplyn stayed at the Water Park with Kim and Riel and their children.
Then they were going to do a little shopping before we all went out for some supper.
So we kind of hung out in the mall and did a little shopping while we waited for them.
The girls weren't really into shopping so we didn't get that much accomplished.
Freya came with me and we headed over to Kinton Ramen and waited for the others to show up.
It was my first time ever eating at this ramen spot - we just picked it because it was close to the mall.
There were 13 of us so we couldn't all be seated together.
Leanne and Mike didn't come swimming but they did meet us all for supper.
They were able to seat 10 together but then a few of us had to sit at another table.
So Haylee, myself, Freya and Eden all sat at our own table.
Freya.
Eden.
Right before they brought us our food, a table near all the rest came free so we moved over there.
There is the whole crew.
It's hare to get everyone in the picture when you have a large group but I think I did pretty well.
I got a special they had on, Golden Spicy Ramen.
It was pretty good actually but I had just had half of a shawarma at the mall so I wasn't terribly hungry.
I took half of it home for Jason.
Teaching this one to enjoy ramen early.
Yummy noodles!!!
CHEESE!!!
She looked so cute in her little hat with her one ear sticking out!
Haylee decided to drive back to Swan Hills with me.
We stopped at her Grandma's in Barrhead to get her things then she and I and the girls headed home.
I thought Freya might want to come for a sleepover but when we got to their place, she decided she wanted to go in and hang out with mom and dad and play her Oculus which was fine because it was 10:30 and chances are Jason was going to be in bed already.
He was too when I got home, snoring away.
So I got to work on my puzzle.
I was determined to get a good chunk of it done and stayed up waaaaay too late working on it.
It was a really was a really quiet Christmas morning.
Jason was gone to work and so it was just Mom and I for the morning.
I watched some Christmas movies and get the veggies all peeled and ready for Christmas dinner later today.
Jason had the turkey and the ham cooking, he is much better at it than I am so I'm happy to let him take care of that part.
Morgan, Kalem and Whitney were the first ones to arrive, they got to my place around 2:30.
Morgan's mom had been in town overnight so they spent the night and morning with her.
Morgan made us this sweet tray.
There were all kinds of goodies in it and it looked so good.
She did such a great job.
We brought up the 'stockings' and Whitney started opening hers.
Mom watching her.
Morgan started opening hers too.
She got a very special gift for Christmas this year!!!
Looks like there will be a wedding in the near-ish future.
They want to save money for it so they figure maybe in a year or two.
Very exciting!
The Groom to be - Kalem.
Kody, Haylee and the girls got there next (they'd been over to visit with Crystal and they brought Zepplyn with them to our place).
Then the chaos began.
The guys started bringing all the gifts upstairs and the kids started opening them.
Freya loved her necklace from Ivy and got me to put it on her right away.
Morgan and Kalem.
Opening Christmas presents.
Mom & I.
The little girls got tired of opening gifts pretty quickly and had to have a snack break.
It gave Eden a chance to test out the recliner she got.
I think she likes it.
The girls play together pretty well most of the time, it's really sweet to see.
Eden only opened a couple of her presents then she was done.
We'd find gifts with her name on them and give them to her and ask if she wanted to open them and she'd say No and throw them away.
Ha ha.
So Kody and Haylee just packed them all up and took them home with them and she can open them up later.
After everyone opened their gifts, they all packed up and took their stuff home.
Freya and Zepplyn were anxious to get back to Freya's to try out the new Oculus she got for Christmas.
So everyone left for a couple hours, except Eden, she wanted to stay with me which was perfectly fine with me.
She ended up having a nap in my lap for about an hour and I just sat and held her the whole time.
Everyone came back around 6:30ish for supper.
We had invited Crystal & Randy so they came as well.
Everyone had a game of Drawful.
The game was full so I sat it out.
It's really a cool game though - I think they all played two rounds.
We found a couple of Eden's presents at the house so we convinced her to open them.
One of them was a bunch of play kitchen items and she loved it.
She shoved all of it under the table and she and Whitney played with it under there.
I found this later - Freya was in the bathroom making videos.
I always think it is so funny how she is talking to all of her 'followers'.
She has such a great imagination.
Jason made me a homemade card.
And he got me a trip to Boston in October for my gift.
He wants to run a marathon in Cape Cod and I think I'm going to try to train and run a half.
I'm also looking forward to just seeing Boston again and Cape Cod which I've never been to.
I got Jason a trip in April - we are going to fly to Minnesota because we can fly there direct but then we are going to drive over to Milwaukee because Jason has always wanted to go there.
He is going to run a half marathon while we are there.
I might try for a 5k.
We had a quiet evening after everyone else went home.
Jason started back to work this morning which is kind of a bummer.
He'll be working pretty much the whole time that I'm off.
I was up early and worked on the snowmen a little more while the kiddos were still sleeping.
Mel came to pick up Hunter just after 11, they are off to her mom's now for a few days - I'm glad she came and we got a chance to see them.
She is taking Adrien's presents to him which is really nice of her.
I snapped a picture of he and Leland before he left.
They are best buds and were so happy that they got to hang out.
She posted this picture she took - I love it.
Hunter has gotten so tall even just since I saw him in October.
Having a snack break with Eden.
Freya was so upset that Hunter left.
I managed to get the rest of the snowmen ornaments completed - I really love how they turned out.
Kody did some gift wrapping at home today then he came over in the evening to hang out.
He was trying to put together this game I got at the dollar store to play with the girls but some of the pieces were missing.
So they scrapped that and had a couple games of Reindeer games - Rob came over and he played with them too.
Eden was about ready for a nap.
Which was nice, I got to get some snuggles in with her.
She isn't always the most snuggly so I really soak up any cuddles I do get.
The Mama.
She wrapped almost all of the gifts this year for me, the only ones she didn't do were her own and some of Freya's.
I appreciate that so much.
Giving Rob a present to open.
It was his ornament I made for him.
The tradition is that everyone gets to open a gift on Christmas Eve so the kids were pretty excited.
Then Freya wanted to have a game of Drawful on Jackbox TV.
We played last night with Hunter and Leland and she thought it was so much fun.
While we did that, Eden was torturing the kitties - not really of course but she is rough with them and they don't like it.
They usually hide when any kids are around.
That didn't stop her from trying to play with them though.
Here kitty, kitty!
Trying to get the kitties to play.
She's rough with them so they avoid her like the plague.
Eden showing her counting skills.
I think she's doing pretty well for 2.
She drew on her face - little bugger.
I had to include this picture too because I just love her little belly.
She was walking around like this for about an hour or so then she happened to walk by the big mirror in the living room and noticed her face.
She stopped short and her jaw dropped open like she was shocked to see the ink on her face.
I wished I'd had my camera on to catch her expression because it was hilarious.
Papa help me!
Mom, Rob, Kody, the girls, Jason and I all hung out for the evening then around 10 pm, Rob left and Kody took the girls home so Santa could come.
Jason went to bed because he has to work in the morning and I put It's a Wonderful Life on and got to wrapping Mom's presents and the ones of Freya's that still needed wrapped.
I usually get sleepy during the movie and end up only watching part of it then getting up in the morning and watching the rest but I watched the whole thing tonight.
It is such a great movie - I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching it.
