Pedicures and English Pounds (June 22, 2018)

I woke up super early this morning to a sore chest and back again.
I had to get up and get some ibuprofen.
I thought it had gone away but it was pretty bad when I woke up.

Seems like when I get up and get moving around that it goes away.
I am not sure what is causing it but I hope it stops soon.

After work today, Mom & I headed to WCT to get pedicures.
I also had ordered some English money so I stopped at the bank to get that.
Ouch - it was little painful to shell out so much money but at least the exchange was lower this time that it was last time that we went.

Here is the before.

Who doesn't love being pampered a little?

I know I certainly enjoy it.

Pedi's with my mama.
You may notice in the picture that I also picked myself up a chocolate chip iced capp and mom had a smoothie.

I went for a light pink color again - I really liked it last time.

I always get the shellac because it lasts so much longer.

It was crazy busy in there.

It was gorgeous in WCT but it looked pretty dark heading back home.

We were treated to a double rainbow on the way.
Mom noticed it so I had to stop and get a picture.

I grabbed a burger from McDonalds and had that for my supper on the way home.

I forgot about this oldie but goodie.
Going to download it as soon as I get home.

I got polka dots for a design this time.
I forgot to get moms after and she headed straight to bed.

The Royal Canadian Air Force posted that they passed inspection today.

This is the whole crew that they sent over to London.
They had a short video posted as well and there is a great close up of my sister right at the beginning of the video.
So proud of her.
She is the one the arrow is pointing to.

I must walk out to the front desk at least once or twice a day then realize once I get there that I forgot what I came there for in the first place.
Is that a sign of old age or business?
I'm going with business.

Yup!

My SIL just got back from a trip to her dads in BC and posted some pictures.
Looks like a gorgeous spot and looks like they had a great time.

Miss A trying to catch a few.

My SIL soaking up some rays.

Peek a boo!

Mr H - looks likes he's loving that breeze blowing in his hair.

Driving the boats with his Pappa.

Boys and their equipment.

Bet he was loving it!

Tuckered out and having a nap with his sissy.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

ER Trip (June 21, 2018)

My back and chest were still bothering me when I woke up this morning.
I got up and had some ibuprofen and headed off to work anyway.

My Honey picked up a gift for BN so I left it on his desk for him this morning.

I especially like the bag My Honey chose for the gift - I am sure BN will get a kick out of that!
He wrote on his card that he hoped his year would be "mostly molestation" free, ha ha.

My hair color turned out well I think.

It's getting pretty long.

Breakfast was bagels with cream cheese and jam again, yum yum.

By the afternoon the pain hadn't eased off, in fact, it had become more constant so I called up to the hospital to see if they could fit me in for an appointment.
It was hurting to take a full deep breath as well and I just didn't want to fool around with that.
I wanted to make sure all was good before I headed out on vacation.
My father had a heart attack in his forties and both my grand fathers passed away from heart attacks in their 60's.
I thought likely all was good but didn't want to be that person who didn't bother to get checked out then wasn't around to tell the tale later.
The Doctor thought all was good but sent me for tests anyway.

About to have an EKG.

They sent me for chest x-rays and did blood work as well.
An emergency ended up coming in so they I had to wait while they tended to the new patient.
Finally after a couple of hours the doctor came back and told me everything looked good.
Even though my chest is still hurting, it eased my mind and I headed back to work.
It was practically quitting time any way so I did a few things then headed home.

At 6 pm we met back at the office to put together registration packs for the color run.

It took a minute to get the assembly line going but once we did, we made short work of it.

We had lots of help.

Look at all those hard workers!
SV is the only one I didn't catch looking.

There she is - I am digging her new hair do - isn't she one hot mama?

Putting safety pins on race bibs is hard work.

Our former co-worker MC came down to help.
We miss her around the office.

216 Registration Pack ready to go!

When I got home, My Honey had cooked up some trout and veggies on the bbq.
I think I am liking trout more than salmon these days.

OK - I was sitting in the hospital for a long time today with nothing to do but scroll through my phone so I found lots of funnies to share.

Me - every second weekend.

Truer words have never been spoken!

I love seeing women lifting each other up.

OMG - ha ha ha.
I don't ever do this but it still made me giggle.

ABSOLUTELY - there is no better feeling!
People who I can enjoy a laugh with are people that I enjoy.

So true.

Pretty much, huh?

I stayed up way too late trying to get things done.
Before you know it, we'll be leaving on our trip.

The pain I've been having is mostly in my chest now.
It is still there but has subsided some.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

Hair Touch Up Day! (June 20, 2018)

Another gorgeous day out there, we are on a roll.
I made a whitefish bagel sandwich to take to work with me for lunch and I took a second one to have for breakfast.
I stopped at the store on the way because I really wanted to have it with cream cheese.

I know it seems weird but the combo of cream cheese and jam is the best.

I had a call this morning from the group that came in and did our health screening to go over my results.
Everything is looking good she said, my cholesterol, my sugar and all the other things they screen for all look good.
My vitamin D is a little low so she suggested I take vitamins.
It was low last time too so no surprise there.
The main thing of concern was my liver enzymes.
They are still quite high.
She said my GGT's should be around 30 and they are at 127.
When I had the screen done back in 2014 they were at 83, then in 2016 they were at 126.
They haven't bumped up significantly but they are still high.
She suggested I share with my doctor and even though I've been for an ultrasound, I should continue to go yearly for those and monitor it.

I worked through lunch because I knew I had to leave early for a hair appointment today.
I picked some Roast Chicken chips to go along with my bagel.
What a treat they were, I don't see that flavor very often.

It seems like the grey is growing in quicker and quicker each time.
I was just getting the roots touched up again instead of doing a full fledged color because it takes a lot less time.

I like how it turned out last time and I think I can get away with it again.
I actually made it to my hair appointment with 15 minutes to spare.
Usually I am rushing in there at the last minute and I always feel bad about it.

She got right to work coloring.

The things we go through to stay beautiful huh?
This is how frizzy my hair is if it is brushed out.

We chatted and before you know it, it was time to rinse the color out.
I didn't bother to have her style it or anything today, I just got her to comb it out for me then I headed home.

I was sitting around watching tv, thinking about what to make for supper.
I just couldn't think of anything so I went to the store and wandered around there for a bit.

Nothing was appealing to me.

I finally settled on perogies.
I called My Honey and he agreed that sounded like a great plan.
I got to work cooking them when I got home and My Honey arrived and took over halfway through.
My back was bothering me a little, not sure from what.
My chest felt congested a bit too, not super painful but uncomfortable.

We had our perogies for supper and they were delicious - OMG!

Dessert was this brilliant invention.
Chocolate bar mixed with cheesecake? Yes Please, a million times yes!

We watched a bit of tv and I did some more blogging, I am almost caught up - yay!

A cousin posted this old picture of my Grandfather and it was nice memory.
He is in the darker coat on the right.
He loved to laugh and always was asking for people to tell him jokes.

I want this - no joke!

This was going on in the news today.

It is so easy for me to get worked up when talking to people about Trump that I just try not to.
It happened again today discussing the latest antics that are going on with the implementation of the Zero Tolerance Immigration policy.
I just think he is a horrible human being and I know my position on that is never going to budge.
It makes it really hard to stay open and just have a discussion so it was a reminder for me that my best course is to just say nothing at all.
I think that is still great advice "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"!

When I went to bed the pain in my back kind of ramped up.
It was a different kind than I've experienced before and I was concerned for a minute that it might be a warning sign of a heart attack or something.

If I hadn't just spoken to the clinician this morning about the results of my health screening and known that everything was good, I likely would have gotten My Honey to take me up to the hospital.

My Honey googled it too and I decided that it was likely just a sore back and not to read too much into it.
I finally settled myself and off to dreamland I went.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
