Finger Painting and Handy Sister (Sept.6, 2020)

Our sleep over went well.

Baby F slept all night cuddled right up to me which was so nice.

Not quite fully awake yet I don't think.

Once she was though, she was ready for a Freeze Dance with Papa!

My Honey had picked up finger paints for her so they got those out first thing this morning.

We stripped her down so her clothes wouldn't get ruined.

He had some blank canvases so that's what he gave her to paint on.

She jumped right in.

Let's get some blue on there.

Then on to yellow.

She was just using one finger to do it at first.

She was being very thoughtful about where she wanted to put things too.

First time finger painting.

I added her name there since this was her first finger painting ever.

Still using the one finger method.

Admiring her work.

I think it looks pretty darn good.

Soon she moved onto to using her entire hand.

It didn't all make it onto the paper though.

Things just kind of escalated from there.

Things got pretty messy, but that's part of the fun.

She did try cleaning some of it off herself.

But then would just put more paint back on.

When they were done, it was right to the bath.
She didn't want to get in so My Honey had to get his swim trunks on and stand in there with her so that we could get her cleaned up.
It cleaned up no problem at all.

A couple of her final creations.
My Honey framed them and hung them in his office.

After she was all cleaned up, she & I sat and watched some Dora.

She even actually let me comb out her hair.

My son was texting to see how she was doing and said he'd come get her.
We said we could drop her off but he missed her so much he couldn't wait.
So after they went home, My Honey & I headed to WCT.
We had a few things we needed to pick up.

We got out blood pressure checked at the kiosk in Walmart.
This was my first one.
131/75.
A bit higher than what I'd like to see.

The second go round was a bit better, 122/76.
I'm in the Normal range anyway, My Honey was in the Optimal range.
My goal is to get there too.

While we were in Walmart shopping, we saw a familiar face.
They had come to WCT for groceries and stuff too.

We ended up buying her this little potty that looks like a grown up toilet, it even makes a flushing sound.
It's so cute.

My Honey had tried on some of his jeans this morning and they were way too big so after Walmart, we stopped at a clothing store to check out some jeans and tops.
He realized he didn't have his wallet when he went to pay so I waited in the store while he ran back to the car.

He sent me this picture from the parking lot.
He'd left his wallet on top of the car.
Thank goodness it was still there!

We bought some cut up pineapple and watermelon and got some deli ham and turkey sliced up and that's what we had to eat before heading home.

We did stop at the casino to try out our luck, My Honey broke even, I lost everything.

My sister is still deep into home renovations and she posted pictures of the pantry she built.
She started from the floor up, literally.

She framed it out.

Mr E helped her.

What a great worker.

She said he really enjoyed helping and was so proud of it when they were done.

Got the door on.

Still needs some paint but looking pretty darn good.

Got all the shelves up.

The finished product.
I am so proud of her - I would never have taken on a project like that - she makes me feel like I can do it too.
She says she's really been enjoying the renovations and that she is learning lots.

I've been seeing these DIY pumpkin sweaters all over social media and they look so cute.
I watched a DIY tutorial on how to make them and they look so easy.

I totally have a bee in my bonnet about making some now.

I wanted to pick up a couple sweaters at the second hand store today in WCT but it wasn't open.
So I got a knit scarf and a weaved scarf at the dollar store instead and I'm going to try making a couple with them.
I was able to get leaves and covered wire to decorate them up after they are done.
Stay tuned.

My Honey and I watched the final Harry Potter movie tonight.
It's kind of sad that it's all done now - I'm going to miss their adventures.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
