Cozy Weather Has Arrived (Sept.24 , 2020)

There is most definitely a chill in the air.

Makes a person want to curl up on the couch and binge on Netflix!

I still need to get my steps in though so I made sure to get out for my walk this morning.

I went at lunch time so I went a little further and took a picture of the flowers by our tourist booth.

They are still looking really good despite the cooler weather.

I finished up another pumpkin when I got home after work.

I'm really enjoying making them.

Then I hopped on the treadmill to jog for a bit.

I feel like since my weigh in wasn't so good this week that I want to try a bit harder.

I want to be careful because I want to make sure that whatever I do to lose weight is something I can maintain long term and currently I don't think I'm going to turn into a fitness buff over night but getting some jogging in a couple times a week is doable long term.

I do want to start training to run a marathon too once I get under 200 lbs so maybe I will turn into a fitness buff, we'll see.

I did get my sweat on and it felt good.
I can feel a difference when I'm jogging, my endurance has improved and my feet haven't been bothering me as much as before.

After my work out, I had a nice long, hot, relaxing bath.

I made quesadilla's for supper for My Honey, Mom and I.
They turned out pretty darn good.

We stopped by my son's after supper to drop something off so we were able to have a quick visit with Baby F.

She's just all about the phone lately and she wants to be the one in charge of it.
Holding it and deciding what to watch.

Her other Papa posted this cute picture today of Baby F and her Auntie Z.

This Facebook memory popped up so I thought I would share.

This was back in 2017.
For birthdays that year, I got everybody tickets to the Dinner Theatre.
We saw Dowton Abbey Road.
We all had such a good time I decided we should do it again but we never have.
Spending time with my family is what I love most so I am going to make a point of planning something like this again soon.

I saw these Decoupage basics and I thought it might come in handy.

Totally.
I am not one of those conspiracy theorists but I also don't trust that the government does what's in the best interest of the people - I think they are more concerned with the best interests of themselves unfortunately.
Especially our current government - the amount of unethical things they've done and gotten away with is rather shocking.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Sweater Weather (Sept.23, 2020)

It was a lovely fall day so I got out there this morning for a walk.

A bit chilly on the ears, glad I had my hat!

Most of the trees have changed color now.

It is very pretty.

I cooked up some haddock for supper with smoked paprika - so good!
I also made a salad and brussels sprouts to go with it.

My sister's house is coming right along.
She did the floors in her kitchen.

The floors in her living room.

The floors in her dining room

She painted all the walls too.
She isn't afraid of color - I love it.
She's doing such a great job and making it her own.
I can't wait to get out there and visit as soon as they pop that Atlantic Bubble!

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

New Fridge and Stove! (Sept.22, 2020)

More bathroom selfies today.

This is what you do when you are feeling good about your accomplishments!

I should have taken off the mask though.

There we go, a side shot where you can see my face too.

I got out for a walk this morning and My Honey rode his bike down and met me.

After our walk, he went and picked Baby F up and took her to the park.

They played on the slides of course.

Then they went back to our place and played in the back yard.

She wanted to get the sprinkler going but it was a little too cold for that.

She had left over pizza for lunch - she loves pizza.

She's been pretending to be a dog or a cat a lot lately so I guess this was what she was doing here.

She also had chips with some ranch to dip them in.
She loves dip too.

I was able to visit with her a little when I came home for lunch.

She was kind of entranced by My Honey's phone.

Watching them turn water into different colors.

Our new fridge and stove are arriving today so My Honey took out the cupboard above the fridge in preparation.
The new fridge is a few inches taller so wouldn't have fit.

When it was time to go back to work, Baby F wanted in my car and no way was she getting out.

So I took the truck back to work and My Honey just let her play around in there for a bit.

My Honey sent me this later in the afternoon - they were having trouble fitting the new fridge in the door so he had to take the front door off the house.

That didn't work so they had to take the doors off the fridge too.
Eventually they were able to get it in though.
When I got home, I cleared out the old fridge and stove.
It felt really good to purge a bunch of stuff.

We got the new appliances in (I still need to take the stickers off the fridge).

Just look at all the room we have now, it's amazing!

We took a bunch of stuff over to the dump.
Then we headed over to my son's to drop the mattress off to Baby F.
We'd ordered her a new boxspring and mattress which also was delivered today.

It makes her bed a little high but it's comfy.

Testing out her new bed.

Everyone is a poopy pants lately.

She was having a grand old time!

Weigh In Day Blues (Sept.21, 2020)

Weigh In Day!

Well there you go, 220.8 lbs this morning.
Not what I wanted to see.

That means I was 1.2 lbs up since last weigh in.
I was disappointed but I know I ate almost all of my weeklies this week and I ate very late last night so I can't say that I'm surprised.
I have been tracking everything but I've been not so strict on portions and measuring and weighing.
I need to reign that in this week and cut back on the weeklies I think.

I'm going to try to not let this bother me, I know the weight loss journey is not linear, there are ups and downs along the way but all in all I'm still down 50 lbs so I'm proud and I'm just going to keep going.

It was back to work for me this morning but My Honey is still on days off so he met me this morning when I went for my little walk to the road.

More bathroom selfies, 😀😀
We are wearing masks in the office now which I don't mind but it does feel a bit strange.

Side view.
It's so weird, I know I'm down 50 lbs but when I look at these, I still feel so big.

I got this sweater on the weekend at Old Navy.
I love blue and white stripes, always have.
I was so excited because it was a Large and it fit me.
Before I started Weight Watchers I was buying the XXL and even that was starting to be tight at times.

My Honey sent me this picture.
He came across Pumpkin Pie Hummus at the store so he picked some up for me.
I couldn't wait to go home at lunch and try it.

Spoiler Alert - It was DELICIOUS!
I ate it with a banana and it was super good.

My son and Miss H did a photo shoot in their backyard this afternoon.
I love the hats.

They look so good all dressed up.

Miss Z was there too.

The black and white theme was so cute.

Such a beauty.

My Honey cooked pizza up in the pizza oven for supper.

I had three pieces and they were worth every point.

The kids came over for supper too.
Baby F loves pizza, Miss Z isn't a big eater but she actually had some too.

She looks so cute all dressed up.

After they left, we headed downstairs and My Honey worked on the shelf and I hopped on the treadmill.
I needed some steps plus I just was feeling like I need to work a little harder at the weight loss.

I wanted to jog for 20 minutes but actually did 30 and it felt great!
I would like to get 20 minutes of jogging in everyday or at least a few times a week anyway.

My Honey got the bottom shelf all completed.
I think it's going to look so good when it's done.

Proud of his work, which he should be!
(Really I made him pose for the picture).

This Facebook memories popped up today that I thought I would share.

This is the Pearisian Burger we made when we were doing Burger Love at the golf course in 2017.
The burger was my idea and I don't think My Honey was completely convinced but it ended up being my favorite burger we did that summer.
I am partial to a good croissant but all the other ingredients complimented each other beautifully.
My Honey ended up really enjoying it too.

This is the write up My Honey did to go along with the Burger on social media.
I think people looked forward to his write ups just as much as they did the Burger special.
He just has a knack for coming up with stuff like this - I really appreciate his sense of humor!
