Antique Shopping and Pics from Revelstoke (Sept.7, 2019)

When we checked in last night they told us that they had a 'state of the art' work out room so we made sure to check it out this morning.

Luckily, they had several treadmills so we were both able to hop on one at the same time.

I got 43 minutes in, even did a few minutes of jogging.

Being silly - we were happy we had a good work out in to start our day.

It was a nice hotel and I'd stay there again.

We had left over pizza from last night for breakfast then we headed out to get a coffee.

We passed this on the way and I made My Honey turn around and go back so I could get a picture.

It's Mater - So Cool!

We also passed an antique store so we stopped in and checked that out too.
There didn't seem to be that much when we first walked in but they had a whole downstairs area that was just crammed full.
They were very friendly and I felt like I should buy something so this is what I picked out.

It's just an old metal bowl and it's kind of banged up but I really like it.

We hit the road and headed for Edmonton but we just took our time and enjoyed the scenery.
This church is overlooking a river that you can see in this picture but it was really pretty.

Here's a bit better of a shot.
Pretty church too.

We happened upon a flea market just outside of Edmonton so we stopped in to check it out.
My Honey got a couple pairs of used coveralls for $20.00 a piece.
They were in really good condition and they are normally about $200.00 a pair so it was a great deal.

We didn't really get anything else because it was mainly cash and we didn't have any on us.

We wanted Ramen so we found this place that had it and went there for some lunch.

They weren't really a 'ramen' place so we should have known as soon as we walked in that it wasn't what we wanted but we got a bowl to share just in case and it was awful.

We shopped around Sherwood Park for a bit.
They have a beautiful Canadian Tire there and My Honey bought himself some new tools.

We also checked out a few other places, pretty much spent the afternoon shopping.

Before we headed home, we wanted to get a good meal and we'd seen a Smash Burger which we know we like so that's where we headed.

We shared an Oreo milkshake.
It was 100x better than the one we had yesterday and only a fraction of the price.

I had a burger with bacon, onion rings and bbq sauce with a side of their deep fried pickles.
It was delicious.
Smash Burger has never disappointed.

There was a frozen yogurt store nearby so we had some dessert.
It had turned into a beautiful day so we were able to sit out in the sun and enjoy them.
(Can you guess whose is whose?)

Then we headed home.
Listened to some good tunes along the way.

Miss H & Baby F went with her family on a weekend getaway and she posted some pictures today from it.
They went to the Enchanted Forest in BC near Revelstoke.
Here is Baby F walking on the yellow brick road.

Sitting by some giant mushrooms.

Trying out a rock chair.

What a cute little play house.

Little gnome hiding in the tree caught her attention.

That's a big tree - both her and mommy can fit in there together.

Think she wants to get in there and pet that deer.

With Grandpa.

She's just about as tall as the leprechaun.

More animals she would like to get to.

The Old Lady Who Live in the Shoe.

One of the three little piggies.

She can reach this fellow.

Just playing around with her Auntie Z.

She's on the go.

The scenery in BC is just beautiful.

Selfie with mom.

Deep in thought.

Road Trip selfie.

Looks like they are having a great time.
My son couldn't go because he had to work but I'm glad that she gets out and does things like this.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
