Baby F's First Birthday Party! (Aug.24, 2019)

Woke up to this little snoozing away beside me.

They just look so sweet and innocent when they are sleeping.
Makes me feel like I just want to protect him from any harm or sadness that might ever come his way.

My Honey was still sleeping to - Mr H stayed vertical last night instead of turning and taking up the whole bed so I think we all slept rather well.

When they did get up, it was immediately time to play.

Mr H thought that was just great.
Nice to see such big smiles first thing in the morning.

He found a bath bomb so of course he wanted to have a bath and try it out.

After that, we spent the morning getting ready for Baby F's birthday party.
I offered to make a meat & cheese tray, a fruit tray and My Honey was making biscuits.
I ran out of time so didn't quite get the growth chart finished but I'll get it done in the next few week or so.

Then we headed over to the birthday party.

The birthday girl was all decked out in the cutest pink frilly dress.

I just love her hair when it's up in pony tails or pig tails.
Looks so cute.

She was greeting her guests as they arrived.

These little girls are all right around the same age and their moms are all friend so it's good that they'll have each other for playmates.

They were all kind of interested in doing their own things.

This car seems to be a hit with all the babies.

Now another one is having a turn in it.

The Frozen car was popular too - Baby F seemed to stick more to that one today.

Miss H had a ball pit set up in the living room for them.
She also had it decorated very nicely.

This scary pirate showed up at the party.

The sun decided to come out so the party moved outside.

Baby F just loves playing in the water so this water table gets lots of use.

She did leave the water table long enough to go play on the slide with Daddy.

She was just loving it.

Her daddy was having just as much fun as her!

Some were even brave enough to try out the slip & slide.

My Honey got these great action shots of the kiddos on the slip and slide.

Miss A gave it a go.

She went down on her knees.

At first Miss Z just ran down the slide, she wasn't ready for the full meal deal.

Mr H was though, he got right in there.

So then Miss Z figured she'd go full in.

When the clouds covered the sun, it was pretty chilly.

Had to sit by his big sis to warm up.

Baby F went over to check out the sprinkler part of the slip & slide - that was enough for her.

Her little friend got right in there though, clothes and all, and it didn't bother her one little bit.

I think he might be a tad big for this slide.

This little one just stuck to the water table the whole time.

Baby F actually came over and sat with me for a bit.

My Honey is so good with the kiddos, they just naturally seem to flock to him.

Another chilly kiddo snuggling up to Miss M to warm up.

She wants to share her toy with My Honey.

I think Baby F has her old grandpa wrapped around her little finger.
It's sweet to see.

Not sure if she'd interested in the flower or the elephant planter itself.

Still playing away with that water table.
It's nice to finally have some weather where they can do that.
It's been a horrible summer weather wise - rain pretty much every day.

I love Miss A's bathing suit - it's so cute.

My Honey bought a giant beach ball sprinkler for the kids to play with, they quite enjoyed it.

One of the mom's.

My Honey.

The gorgeous Miss M.

The grandparents.

My SIL.

Baby F's great grandma.

Another Baby F checking out the Little Tykes car.

It's so sweet how Mr H is always so tender and gentle with Baby F, he really loves her.

Then my son got out the bubbles which kiddos always love.
I love them myself.

My Honey captured this awesome moment in time when Miss Z was just about to pop a bubble.

I think the other babies were having fun.

She wanted to share her strawberry with My Honey.

It started to chill off so we went inside and got out the pinata.
Since she was the birthday girl, Baby F got the first turn.

We had brought a rolling pin over to do the whacking with but it was a bit much for the littles to handle.

So we got them a wooden spoon instead.

This Baby F seemed to enjoy it.

This little wanted a try with the big old rolling pin (It was as big as her).

She gave it a good try though.

Mr H meant business - he was determined he was going to smash that thing.
We told each kid they could have two whacks the first go round but he managed to squeak in a few extra.

Then it was Miss Z's turn - the whacking stick was a bit much for her to handle to but she managed.

Miss A's BFF took shot (incidentally, she is a Miss A as well).

Miss A gave it a good old whack and we thought that would do the trick but surprisingly, it did not.
After a few rounds, we could see that whacking it wasn't going to do the trick.
So the kids all held on to some of the streamers at the bottom and pulled together - we thought that would pull it apart.
It didn't.

In the end, My Honey just broke it apart.
The kids didn't mind, they were more interested in the candy all over the floor.

Then it was time for cake.

We sang Happy Birthday to her and she snuck in a taste of the cake.

It might have been more than a little taste, her hand was covered in icing.

Hey, where did that cake go? Bring it back!

She got the first piece and she got right down to business.

Yum Yum.

I love the bib she was wearing.
Her great grandma got it for her.

The older kids got quite the haul but they were careful to make sure they left some for the little kids too.

Then it was present time.

Miss H read out the cards while Baby F opened her gifts.

She did have some help.

After presents, she retired to the ball pit.

And I really do mean retired.
Being the belle of the ball is exhausting work.

I think she could have had a nap right there.

But she had some new toys that she wanted to check out first.

Just chilling with mom in the ball pit.

That ball pit was a big hit.

Miss A preferred the mini sofa.

We stayed to help clean up after everyone else left.

Mr H wanted to stay and play with Miss Z so we told my brother we'd bring him home after.

They are the same age and they play so well together.
It was so cute to watch her pushing him on the swing.

After we got to our place, we realized that he didn't have a shirt so I had to give him one of mine.

My Honey gave him a hat too as a joke but he put it right on and wore it.

Didn't phase him one bit.

The shirt was a bit big but he wasn't concerned about that at all.

After we dropped him off, we headed home and I had quite a mess to clean up there as well.
Once we cleaned up, I was just exhausted so we pretty much chilled on the couch for the rest of the evening.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
