I woke up to a gloomy, snowy day so I decided against driving to the city.
I decided a trip to WCT would be faster and probably less expensive too.
I waited for mom to get up to see if she wanted to come with but by 9:30 am she still wasn't up so I just headed out on my own.
I am really digging this station on Sirius.
I don't know why I've never listened to it before?
I heard some more songs that I really enjoyed.
I already got at least one of these songs by Marshmellow but I can't remember which one.
I hit up the second hand stores, I got a few things for Baby F and a few things for me.
I also hit up Walmart to stock up on a few necessities.
On the way home, I stopped at the casino all by myself which I've never done before.
I had a feeling it was going to be my lucky day and I wanted to throw $20 bucks into the machine I played and won on the other day.
I was doing ok at first and winning a little but then the winning streak ended and that was that.
It lasted about an hour though so not bad.
$20 was my limit though so once that was done, it was time for me to head home.
I was ready anyway.
I found this little guy at the second hand store - it still had the tags.
I don't know what it was about it that I liked but I thought it was cute so I brought it home.
I wanted a pill dispenser too because it's kind of a pain to open all the bottles of vitamins I have each day to take them.
I couldn't find one though so I am hoping that this will work.
It is meant for nails and screws and stuff but I'll give it a go.
I called my son and asked if they would like to come over for supper.
Baby F is one month old today so I thought we could take her pictures.
Her mama was way ahead of me though and posted these shots that she took.
The turned out really well.
Isn't she just a doll?
You can see that she has her mama's eyes in this one.
The little headband is too cute.
Ok time for the photo shoot to be over, she is getting bored, hee hee!
I got to work on supper when I got home.
Since it is so ugly outside, it felt like a good soup day.
I made a pot of ham and corn chowder.
They arrived around 5 and I was so happy to get to snuggle with my girl.
I held her while everyone else ate.
It was my first time making it and it was a hit.
Although I've made plenty of seafood and clam chowders in the past, this was my first attempt at a ham one and I was happy with how it turned out.
I was missing pizza day at the in-laws though.
My Honey sent me this picture of one of the pizzas right out of the oven.
It looks so yummy.
They also cooked up a couple loaves of bread in the oven.
I asked him to send a picture of the oven he built so I could show Miss H and this is the day they are having there.
Beautiful!
Keep in mind this is about 4 hours north of us.
This is the kind of day we are having here.
Not quite the same.
I can't believe yesterday was the first day of Autumn, seems we've skipped right over that and are smack dab into winter.
Mom took over Baby F snuggling as soon as she finished eating.
She has a knack with her.
It's good for her too because she talks and coos to her which is good speech therapy.
I had a cup of chowder with a roll and it hit the spot.
I heard a crash and went to investigate and this is what I found.
We have these two panels on the front of the tub that can come off so you can get in there and check plumbing or whatever if needed.
They are just velcroed on but normally stay on there pretty good.
Professor Snuggles somehow discovered that they come off and started taking the left one off anytime we left the shower curtain open.
He was doing it so often that My Honey finally had to glue it the other day to put a stop to it.
We are afraid he is going to get in there then fall down into the basement and get hurt.
So now that he can't open that one anymore, he's moved on to the right one and he's doing it when the shower curtain is closed.
What a little rascal, guess we are going to have to glue down that side as well.
We retired out to the living room after supper where it is much more comfortable and mom kept right on cuddling.
They hung out together like this until it was time for them to go home.
We got her all bundled up for the weather and she was so stiff she could barely move.
I always thought it was so cute to see little ones all dressed up for winter weather.
They have so many layers they can barely move but it looks so darn adorable.
Safely buckled in and ready to head home.
After they left, I watched a few old episodes of Big Bang Theory that I found on my PVR that I hadn't watched before then I hit the hay.
I have a few things on my to do list that I want to accomplish tomorrow plus I am looking forward to getting up early and enjoying a coffee and a really cheesy, sappy, romantic movie.
That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
