Craft Room is Coming Along (Feb.4, 2024)

Jason posted these cute pictures of our kitties this morning.
Hazel.

Professor Snuggles.

Paddington.

We really do have some cute, loveable kitties.
I feel so blessed.

I continued on with the craft room purge, organize, cleanse.

I had to do a 4k run today and the weather turned a bit cold and there is lots of ice on the roads so I decided to do it on the treadmill.
Again, it was a 4k easy run and I did it at a speed of 4.5.

Work out complete!
That's the first week of the training schedule completed.

Meanwhile, the craft room is coming along.

I screwed some really long screws into the wall so I can hang some of the wooden cutouts and wreaths that I had on them.
Normally I keep them on the shelf I have with the ribbon but that just makes it hard for me to see the ribbon so I wanted it out of the way.

I've been trying to clear off these shelves so I can put my material on it - I keep it stored in bins right now so I never know what I have and it's a pain to get to so this will be much better.
I figure if I could get two shelves cleared then I can store most of it here.
I still have more but this will be enough for now.

This is the filing cabinet I got.
The bottom drawer has enough room for all of the important paperwork I need to file then I also went through a bunch of stickers and other craft items that I had and sorted it all into the drawers.
Now it will be easy to get to.

Now that the filing cabinet is gone - I have a ton of room in there which is awesome.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Craft Room Purge Begins (Feb.3, 2024)

I was up early, had my coffee then I was looking through Facebook and found this cute idea for a craft.

It's so cute and I think it would be super easy to make.

I kind of decided to start cleaning out my craft room.

This is how it looked when I started.

I didn't really plan on pulling it all apart but once I got started, it kind of headed that way.

It was a pretty big disaster.

The main thing I wanted when I began was to get this filing cabinet out of here and go through it.
It takes up a lot of room and I really only need one drawer out of it for actual filing.

This place becomes my dump zone when I'm cleaning up everywhere else in the house.

Can't wait to show the after pics!
I spent most of the morning going through all the papers that were in the filing cabinet.

It was a really nice day out.
I was allowed to take a smaller filing cabinet from the office that wasn't being used so we went down and picked that up.

Then we went for a drive to the dump to get rid of a bunch of stuff that we had that needed to go there.
Freya thought it was great fun.

Back at the house, I continued on going through the craft room and Jason is keeping Freya busy.
She wanted to spend the night but then just around 9 pm when we were getting ready to start winding down for the evening, she announced that she wanted to go home, she missed her mom and dad and the baby.

So I got her ready and took her home.

Haylee posted a bunch of pictures from the year so far, I figured I'd share.

Eden and Haylee.

Kody and Eden - it's been so nice out that they had a fire in their neighbour's backyard the other night.

Eden.

Eden.

Eden.

Freya and Eden.

The whole fam jam.

Love that little crooked smile.

Freya on the swing.
Normally at this time of year, the park is so full of snow that you can't even get into it but not this year.

Jewelry Purge (Feb.2, 2024)

Oh I am just loving this weather.

Jason met me and we went for a walk.

Random things you find when the snow melts.

On the training schedule for today was a 3.2k easy run.
I ran it at a speed of 4.5 - I am determined to make that my 'easy' run pace.

Workout complete.

We had Freya over for the night.
I spent the evening going through all my old jewelry that I had - I ordered some mini ziploc baggies and sorted through it all.
I ended up using over half of the bags and most of it I am going to get rid of - donate, because I don't wear it.
While I did that, Jason played with Freya all evening and kept her entertained.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Subway Date (Feb.1, 2024)

The weather was still gorgeous today.

So I made sure I got out and went for a walk this morning.
The fresh air is always so nice.

After work, Jason and I went to Subway for supper.

It was a rest day for me but I did still need to get my 14,000 steps in so I hopped on the treadmill to get that done.
I just walked.

14,000 steps are complete for another day!

A Facebook memory popped up on Haylee's account today, the is Freya (in the center) with her little friends Ella and her current BF, Dakota.
Awwww, they are so cute!

Best Winter Ever (Jan.31, 2024)

We have been having an awesome winter so far and it seems to just keep getting better.

It's been so warm that all of the snow has just about melted.

So of course I made sure I got out for a walk this morning.

This was covered with snow and now there is barely any left.

Doesn't hurt my feelings any though.

Look at my yard, it's Jan.31 and it looks like spring.

There are tiny patches here and there but that's it!

I had a 5k on the training schedule for today.
I ran at a speed of 4.5, it was hard at points but I pushed through and did it and I felt so proud.

Super sweaty and super proud.

Jason picked Freya up from school and she immediately wanted to make dough.
That's her favorite thing to do.

She's actually getting pretty good at making dough and kneading it.

They turned it into cinnamon buns.
The house smelled pretty delicious when I got home from work.

She wanted to spend the night and since Jason is on days off, we let her.
We love having her around so it's a lot of fun for us.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
