As we have every other morning on this trip so far, we were up and out for a run/walk.
Run for Jason, Walk for me.
I've really been enjoying these morning walks immensely.
Jason was sending me pictures again of some of the things he was seeing out on his run.
Another cool mural.
OMG - I love these!!!
Cactus.
I like these kind that look like they are right out of an old cowboy movie.
Great advice!
Discarded sneakers.
A funky design on the sphere.
We got cleaned up then headed over to the Sphere to see The Wizard of Oz.
Gort
This kind of looked holographic but I think it's just made of a bunch of lights.
It looks pretty cool in person.
Looking down at it from the escalator.
We were sitting in the 400 section which is kind of like the nosebleeds in a regular stadium but I think really any seats here would be good.
Looking down at the 'stage'.
Jason and I.
It's basically just the Wizard of Oz movie but they made some changes to fit the screen here.
I like old movies so it will be fun to watch.
Dorothy and Toto,
The farm.
When the tornado came through it was pretty cool in the theater.
It was loud and windy and the seats were shaking and leaves were blowing around.
Really felt like you were in it.
Then she meets Glenda the Good Witch in Oz.
A couple of Munchkins.
Meeting the Wicked Witch of the West.
The yellow brick road.
The part where the apple trees come to life and try to get Dorothy is neat, little spongy apples actually fell from the ceiling into the crowd.
Made it to the Emerald City.
It was a fun experience - I do think the tickets were overpriced for what it was but we enjoyed it and are glad we went.
We had to go check out the Witches feet sticking out from under the Sphere.
They looked so great.
The monorail - we use this quite a lot when we are in Vegas.
The Sphere is a pretty amazing structure.
I was trying to catch it when it had "Wizard of Oz" on it but you can see it's around the corner from where we were standing.
Close enough I guess.
We'd missed breakfast so we found a spot after the show to go have some, Eggscellent.
Jason had the corned beef hash.
I had an omelet and hash browns
Also, they had biscuits so I just had to have one of those.
We went and hung out at the pool for a couple hours in the afternoon again.
It's very relaxing.
The mountains.
I really wanted to go see the Conservatory at the Bellagio so we hopped on the monorail and headed up that way.
The sunset was so pretty.
Trying to get a good shot of the Sphere as we passed by on the monorail.
It changes fast so it is sometimes hard to do.
I like this version - the US Flag.
The sky looks golden.
One more version of the Sphere.
Walking through the casinos there are always so many beautiful things to see everywhere.
This is walking through the Paris - the ceiling is painted to look like the sky.
They have this in several places in Vegas.
Stopped at Bobby Flay's to get myself a treat.
A pistachio milkshake - Yum Yum!
The Bellagio.
Paris.
Cosmopolitan
It kind of reminds me of Times Square a little bit here with all of the lights and billboards.
Of course we stopped to watch the Bellagio Fountains.
They are still one of my favorite things to see in Vegas.
Then we made our way into the Conservatory - it was crazy busy.
It was an animal theme this time but animals dressed up in human clothing doing human things.
The giant chess pieces were awesome.
Freya happened to call us for a video chat while we were there so we showed her around.
Not your usual bird on a swing.
Just another view of the horse chess piece that I loved.
I loved the zebra display too.
Had to get a selfie with them.
Some pink flamingos.
A Cherub.
The tiger on the swing again with the giraffe topiaries.
They always do such an amazing job in here - whoever does it has quite the imagination.
And it's completely free to go in and see it - totally worth it.
We went to the foodcourt over in Cosmopolitan and I had the Spicy Pork Rice Bowl that I loved from Momofuku's Bang bar.
Jason got a burger from Naughty Patty's.
When you opened up the burger box, there was a little surprise inside.
Ha ha ha - Love it.
Alivia posted this picture from when she was visiting.
She did Freya's hair and make up for her.
Freya loved it.
My steps were down today but still really good.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy?
