Keyano Daze 2.0 (Sept.13, 2025)

Today Mission Possible is hosting Keyano Daze 2.0 in town here.
There are going to lots of activities including an outdoor movie on the big screen and there is a concession stand with treats and things that I'm going to be manning for a few hours this morning.

I also volunteered to set up bubble stations for the kids so I was heading down there to do that.

Freya wanted to come down with me while I was setting up so she got her new jean dress on and down we went.

She met a friend there and was running around playing right away.

I mixed up enough bubble juice for three buckets and set them out with the giant bubble wands.

I made a few bubbles just so everyone could see how they worked and right away there was a crowd of kids trying them out.

I started at the concession stand which was inside - kind of a bummer that we couldn't watch all that was going on.
Morgan and Whitney dropped by.

Hi Whitney.

Jason had come down as well and brought Eden with him.

She was having a blast.

There were some entertainers for the children - this one had a dinosaur puppet that was having a chat with Eden.

She thought that was fun.

They had another child entertainer outside who was mainly singing songs and Zepplyn and Eden sat and watched her show.

Giving Emily a Hi Five.

Yet another entertainer they had there.

This guy did magic tricks.

He actually spent some time inside showing Freya a few magic tricks and she was impressed.

He had some hula hoops there for the kids to try.

Eden gave it a try.

Freya was meeting the puppet dinosaur.

There were big bouncy houses set up for the kids and they spent a lot of time playing in them.

Sliding down the giant slide.

Papa helping Eden get up to the slide.

They did have a couple smaller houses geared more toward the smaller kiddos.
Eden didn't care - she wanted to go on all of them.

She was just running around having the time of her life.

She took her bubba in there and she was just laying around inside.

Then she was just laying around on the outside.

What a goofball she is.

The FCSS ladies were giving tattoos to the kids.

Eden wasn't sure what to think.

She must have liked it though - she ended up getting several.

They actually had a petting zoo set up for the kids.
There were pigs.

Ducks.

I wish I'd gotten over to see it but I was at the concession stand and couldn't really leave.

There were llamas.
Eden was getting right in there.

Trying to feed the ducks.

Llamas.

I think Llamas are so funny.

There were little piglets.

And awwww, kittens.

Eden was going crazy, she didn't know where to turn, she was all over the place, chasing the animals, trying to pick them up.
She was having a blast.

I finished up my shift at the concession stand then we went to the house.
We had planned on heading to the city and spending the night then going to the Terry Fox run tomorrow.

Hotel prices were sky high for some reason and Freya really wanted to go back to the Keyano Daze to play with our friends so we scrapped the trip and went back there.

Eden was right up in there on the bouncy houses again.

She liked this little one that she could climb up and down on her own.

Watching Jason and I through the screen.

Freya was playing in it too with Eden.

And with her little friend.

Atco put on a free bbq so we got burgers for the girls.
They stayed and played right until they took the bouncy houses down.

Then Freya's little friend came over to our house to play for an hour or so then I took her home.

Then we had a sleepover with Eden and Freya.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
