I had a rough sleep again last night - It's a lot of us in the bed and it just feels crowded sometimes.
I slept half the night at the bottom of the bed, when Freya woke up and noticed me there, she moved down there with me.
It wasn't horrible!
Eden woke up when Jason was getting ready for work so I got up with her.
She was raring to go.
It was another hour or so before Freya got up.
Poor thing really wasn't feeling great.
It was a yucky day out weather wise, raining and gloomy, so we spent the day watching tv, playing games on the tablet and phone.
Kody came after lunch to pick the girls up - Freya didn't want to go so she stayed and hung out with me for the rest of the day.
She spent the afternoon laying on the couch - she just wasn't feeling well at all and ended up falling asleep around supper time.
While she napped, I decided to actually get to work on a project I've been wanting to get done forever.
Refinishing this little stool.
I was going to paint it white, put a new foam on it and cover it with fabric.
I'm kind of getting out of my white phase and decided that I wanted to keep the wood as is.
I did clean it up though, gave it a sanding and then a coat of stain.
I had picked up the fabric with the blue print on it when we were in Hobby Lobby one time with this stool in mind but now it feels a bit too busy for me.
The I have a plain creamy color fabric and the one with the tiny blue chevron print.
I like the creamy color but I'm leaning toward the blue chevron - mainly because I think the cream will get dirty too easy.
I wanted Jason's opinion - when he got home, he agreed that the chevron print was best.
While the stain was drying, I got the idea to get up and try to scrub off the blue slime that has been on the ceiling for about 5 years or so now.
I got a new scrubby brush so I just got up there and got to work and amazingly, with a little elbow grease, it came right off.
All this time I was thinking it was going to be a huge ordeal so I didn't even try.
I can't believe I waited all this time and when I finally just did it, it didn't even take me a half hour to do it.
I mean I was even considering getting up there and sanding off the popcorn ceiling in the whole kitchen and dining room and then painting it just to get rid of it.
That would have been soooo much work, can't believe I thought that was my only option.
I got the foam cut to size then glued it to the wood for the top.
Freya wanted to snuggle for a bit so I took a break and sat with her on the couch.
She was hungry so Jason made her another pizza, just a thin crust cheese - it was good.
We took her home around 8:30.
She'd perked up a little but she still has quite the cough.
Before bed, I put the fabric on the piece for the stool - to cover over the staples on the inside part, I just cut another piece of the same fabric and glued it down.
I was going to hem it but it is pretty thick fabric so I just tried to cut it as straight as I could and glued it on just like that.
I hope it looks ok and doesn't fray.
I put tons of books on it for weight and I'll leave it until tomorrow after work then I should be able to finish.
I've just been in a mood lately where I want to get some projects done around the house.
I made a list and I hope to get more accomplished this winter.
One thing at a time!
I saw this idea for storing ribbon - I thought it was a great idea.
I may try it.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy.
