WCSS Spill Exercise Carson Pegasus (Sept.11, 2025)

Our second set of WCSS Spill Exercise was today but this time it was at Carson Pegasus near Whitecourt so I was up and on the road early again.

It's another beauty of a day and what a backdrop - gorgeous!

Welcoming everyone.

Dryland deployment.

Amy and Shannon

During Todd's presentation,

This little guy ran out and stole the show.

There is a campground here and a bunch of trails - I went for a short walk and it is so pretty and peaceful.

We had the boats today so we could get out and demonstrate how to deploy some of the equipment.

What a day for it.

This lake is only about a 30 minute drive from our place and we've only been here an handful of times, we should definitely make an effort to come more, bring our kayaks.

There was nobody else around besides us.

Feeding the ducks.

Setting the boom.

Corralling the spill (for pretend of course).

All three boats working together.

We had lunch from a place in Whitecourt that I went and picked up then we did the whole thing again in the afternoon.

Jason had the girls at Burger Baron for supper, they were just having dessert when I got there.

Ice cream!
Why do kids always bite off the bottom of the cone first thing?

Jason had pushed Eden, Freya and her little friend Theia all down here in the bike trailer.
He said it was pretty tough.

So we sat and ate our ice cream the I took Eden home with me in the car so Jason was down to only two that he had to push home.

He made us thin crust cheese pizza for supper.
One of my favorite things that he makes.

Then I had a massage with Crystal.

I look forward to massage day every month.

The girls made snack plates.

Then Jason took them to the park and I met them there after my massage.

It was a lovely warm evening and the girls ended up running through the splash park.
It will probably be the last time for this year.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
