Shorter Days Are Here, Wah, Wah (Aug.26, 2020)

It was sunny out today but chilly enough for me to wear jeans.
I just happened to have a pair in my closet that I'd picked up a couple years ago that never fit me so they still had the tags on them.
They fit me now!
It felt good putting them on.

I got out for a short walk this morning, I was really busy so I didn't want to be out too long.

At lunch time I went home to open up My Honey's tomatoes for him then I just went for a walk around the block before heading back to work.

I ordered some new shoes today.
I ordered a pair in grey and a pair in black.
I hope I like them!

I was able to get out for another walk this afternoon so I was almost at my 10,000 steps by the end of the day.

I stopped after work and picked up subs from Subway for us for supper.
I didn't much feel like cooking.

When My Honey got home, we had supper then hopped on our bikes and went for a bike ride.

Of course we stopped by to visit Baby F.

My Honey was reading her a book, she was watching videos on tv and I was trying to get selfies.

They were not cooperating!

She got some Sesame Street stickers so she was getting us to take them off the paper for her so she could stick them on her table or wherever she felt like it, ha ha.

I should say My Honey was helping her, I got the first one for her then he got the next one and when I tried to get her another, she said 'No Grandma, Papa do'.
Ha ha.

I guess he was doing it better than I could.

She wanted a snack so her Daddy gave her one of her favorites - chicken.

Glued to the tv already.
It was ok though - made it easier for us to leave.
We hate it when she gets upset so if she's preoccupied and that doesn't happen, it makes us feel better.

It's starting to get dark earlier and earlier which makes me so sad.
I wish it could be summer forever.

My Honey cut up some watermelon for us when we got home.
It was so good.
He said he put some Monk Fruit Sweetener on it and it's the first time I've ever had it.
It he hadn't told me, I'd never have known it was on there, there was no strange aftertaste at all.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Sausages, Massage & Park (Aug.25, 2020)

It kind of looked like it was going to be a chilly one out there this morning but I took a chance and wore capris and it ended up being a wise choice.

By the time I was  ready to head out for a walk this morning, the sun was shining brightly and things had warmed up considerably.

It was so bright that I had to wait to take a picture when I came back in to the office.

My Honey was busy at home on his last day off making pork sausage for me.
These are all ready to go into the oven.

One of his tomatoes actually ripened on the vine and he was so excited he just had to send me a picture to show me.

This should last me a while!

My Honey went over this afternoon and picked up Baby F to take her to the park.
She ended up getting wet in the splash park and the only way he could convince her to take off her shirt to dry it was to suggest putting it on Professor Snuggles.

Not sure how much he is enjoying it 😁

Miss M's father brought this little trike down for Miss A and Mr H to use.
He looks pretty good on there - I bet he's in heaven.
My brother posted this so I haven't seen him in action on it yet but I can't wait to get over there and watch him.

It was massage day - Yahoo!
I had her spend some time working on my feet because they have been bothering me lately.
She did some cranial work too and it was very relaxing - I think I dozed off a time or two.

There is a nice full length mirror in there so I took a few full length selfies.
I'm feeling do great.

I'm down 46.6 lbs now and I still have a ways to go but I feel like I'm well on my way.
I'm going to do it this time I just know it.

My Honey was making pizza for supper with left overs from the birthday party pizzas so I'd invited my son and Miss H over for supper.
They were there when I got home from my massage.

Baby F was helping make the pizza.

She loved helping to 'sprinkle' the toppings on the pizza.

She came over and had a little cuddle with me  - made my day!

She loves water so I got her her very own mini water bottle.

Getting ready to go fly a kite.

We walked her home so we could stop on the way to try out the kite.

She had to bring her baby with her.

It wasn't really windy enough for a kite so instead we stopped to play at the park.

Sliding is so much fun.

She made sure her baby had a turn on the slide too.

Just look at that sunshine.
It was a lovely evening.

What a little climber she is.

Yay!

From the slide she headed over to the rocking dinosaur.

Her baby had to go on with her.

She loves climbing and hanging off of the bars.

Playing 'Seek' with Papa.

I love her little voice "Papa, Papa, Papa!"

She was sure running around and burning off a bunch of energy - she should sleep good tonight!

She just loves climbing over these bars - she's so proud of herself when she does it.

Such a little monkey.

Run, run, run!

She lost a shoe but she wasn't at all concerned.

It was hard to convince her to go home when it was time but eventually we got there.
This time is so precious with her and we enjoy every bit of it!

My cousin T got married over the weekend in PEI.
They look so happy and I'm thrilled for her.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Not Ready for Summer to be Over. (Aug.24, 2020)

Monday means back to work and weigh in day!

226.4 lbs today.

That's down 1.6 lbs since last week and a total of 46.6 lbs overall since April 23 so basically 4 months.
I'm pretty happy about that.

We were told that we had to start wearing masks in the office now when we are in common areas.
We don't have to wear them in our own offices but it's hard to remember to put it on every time I leave my office.
I find myself running back lots to get it on.
It's only the first day though so I suppose before long it will be automatic.

It was drizzling out this morning but I went for my walk anyway.
It was actually kind of muggy so the rain felt nice.
My Honey rode down on his bike and met me and walked with me part of the way.

I had a long meeting this morning so before I knew it, it was lunch time.
My Honey cooked up chicken, broccoli and cauliflower for us for lunch.

My son dropped by with Baby F after work.
He had to go put air in the tires of Miss H's vehicle so he left Baby F with us while he went.
She and Papa had a Freeze Dance.

She needed to get her glasses out of the basket but she didn't want any help.
She's so independent.
She moved the stool over there and got them herself.

When my son got back, he got on the treadmill for awhile and Baby F hung out with us.
She is so much fun.

When Daddy was ready to go home, she was not.
So we offered to walk her home, I still needed some steps anyway.

She got right in the stroller and was ready to go!

She has a thing for rocks so we had to stop to pick up a few.

She has a very definite idea about which one she wants and then she always wants to make sure Papa and Grandma get one too.
She's so sweet.

It was a little on the chilly side so I actually wore jeans and we wrapped her in a blanket.
I hope this doesn't mean that summer is over!

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
