Rosewood Cafe and St Albert Biking Trails (July 19, 2024)

We walked over to Canada Place to submit our passport applications.

We weren't expecting it to be very busy but we were wrong.

We ended up waiting there for just under 2 hours which really wasn't all that bad.

We stopped at the Rosewood Cafe on the way back to get our vehicle from the hotel to have some lunch.

Jason had the Rosewood Club with a side kale salad.
The salad is soooo delicious.

We also had a citrus salad and that was great as well but the kale one is my favorite.

We stopped at city center mall because they have a Winners there and I am still on the hunt for a new purse.
No luck again.

Mural in the mall.

They had this neat art display in the mall.
There was a buffalo.

Then a bear.

Then some cool Halloween creatures.

Some neat pumpkins.

Another pumpkin, this one with fangs.

Nice hat.

Love the kitty.

We wanted to do some biking so we went to a new trail that we found in St Albert.
It went through this wooded section that was really nice.
We discovered at the other end that we weren't supposed to be riding bikes on that section so we left it but I think we'll go back another time and run or walk there.

Found a great biking trail.

We turned on the trail and went the other way and discovered that it connected to the other trails that we ride on in St Albert all the time.

It was such a nice day out.

My Honey and I.

The trail goes all along the river in St Albert, it's so nice.

Jason loves his bike.

Having a water break.

So peaceful.

The trail took us past the St Albert Botanic Garden.

It was so beautifully manicured.

All the flowers were in bloom.

It was just gorgeous.

Look at those stunning blue flowers.
I don't know what they are called but I love them.

I wish I could have a garden like this at my house - it would be a lot of work though.

I love the flowers growing over the trellis.
It was a clematis but it wasn't in bloom yet.

There was another one right next to it though and that one was in bloom.

The stone path heading under the trellis is so charming.

Jason checking out the garden.

There was a giant rock painted as a ladybug.

Pretty trees.
We ended up biking 22k and it was so nice.

We stopped at the Italian Market and had sandwiches for lunch.
They make great sandwiches and they are very reasonably priced as well.

We stopped at Costco for a few things on the way home and they have their Halloween decorations out already.
This giant skeleton crawling out of the ground is awesome!
A little out of my price range though.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
