Winter Just Won't Go Away! (Apr.28, 2021)

Woke up to more snow.

All I can say is UGGG!

It's so depressing!

A little cheerful thing did happen though.
I got some flowers for work for Adminstators week.

Paddington just loves plants and was yipping away as soon as he saw them arrive at the door.

He got up there and started eating them so I had to move them.
Little bugger.

Jason captured this great shot of him with his tongue stuck out!

I got a couple of my plant pots finished and took them down to the Hardware at lunch time to sell.

Hopefully someone will like them.
Jason and I walked down there on my lunch, we also stopped by the post office, the pharmacy and the store before taking the long way home so I could get in some extra steps.

We were talking to the pharmacist to see if they might be getting some Astra Zenaca here in the near future so we could get vaccinated.
He said no but he did have another batch of Moderna coming in the next week or so and he figures that we should get a call soon (we put our names on the waiting list).
I sure hope so - I'd much rather get the Moderna but would have taken the Astra Zenaca if it was all I could get.

I got a parcel in the mail today.
It was this top I had ordered for myself with the birthday money my father sent me.

It has 'bat wings' and I had bought another shirt like this and really liked it.

I like how it fits around the waist.

Kody called in the afternoon to say that Freya wanted to come over for a visit so I told him to bring her on over.

When I finished work for the day, we convinced her to go out for a walk.
I still needed to get about 5000 steps and it had warmed up a bit.

She liked walking on the snow.

And of course, jumping in the puddles.

If there is a puddle and she sees it, she's going through it.

She had to walk in this puddle which ran all the way down the road - makes me so happy to see that snow melting!

We stopped in at the park.

Pretty much everything was snow covered and wet but she did find a few things she could play on.

When we got home, we had supper.
Jason had made adobe chicken, salad and corn on the cob.

He also made a sweet treat.

It was his version of the strawberry pie we had in Portland - when he mentioned it, it just made me really want to go to Portland.
Jason at first cut a piece for us to share but then we both decided that we didn't want to share, we each wanted our own slice.
It was delicious.

When we got home from our walk, she wanted a bubba first thing.

We cuddled when I finished work but she crashed almost immediately.

I could just sit and watch her sleeping - she's so precious.

She's going to spend the night and she had quite a nap so I guess that means a late night for us.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Decluttering Project in the Works (Apr.27, 2021)

I woke up when Jason was getting ready for work and actually got up too.

It's been a long time since that happened, I've been feeling so tired lately.

I played a few games on my tablet before heading in to work in my 'office'.

I made myself a healthy breakfast.
It was yummy and filling.

My office/craft room is so disorganized and cluttered right now.

Its driving me crazy.

I think I might pull everything out of here over the next few days, purge some of it then reorganize the rest.

So I wanted to make sure I got some before shots - I always forget that part.

This shelf is particularly messy, it doesn't have as much room on it as I expected, I think I might drill holes on the side so I can add a few more rods for ribbon.

There is so much stuff in here that I barely have room to move and it's a little suffocating honestly.
It will be a good project - I love pulling everything out and doing a deep clean every now and again.
Organizing and purging makes me happy!

So ya, this is what it was looking like out there today.
So I decided I didn't want to go out in it.

Instead I hopped on the treadmill.
I did the 1 minute walk and 1 minute jog (at 4.0) workout.
I was watching the new season of Dead to Me and I don't like running faster than 4.0 when I'm watching a show because I can't hear the dialog when I do.

You can see from my shiny neck that it was still a good work out and I got my sweat on.

I did still need a few thousand more steps so I planned on walking down to the pharmacy after work to pick up mom's prescription.
I ended up working late though so I missed the pharmacy but went for a walk to the store anyway.
It was chilly out there and still snowing.
Weather like this really gets me down if I let it.

On the way home, this truck passed me with a whole load of wood on the back.
It made me think about all the memes I've been seeing lately with the price of wood being so high.
It kind of made me giggle because I was thinking in my mind 'Ya, I get it, you're a millionaire'!

Then when I got home, I was looking at Facebook and my friend posted this.
Ha ha.
Wood has tripled in price recently and it's also hard to find.

Jason posted this great shot he got of two Canadian Geese.

I want this in my belly!
I love the Phantom Gourmet - it highlights restaurants mainly around Boston and the New England area.
I loved our trip there and hope we get to go back some day.

Jason was thinking about going for another bike ride tonight but quite a bit of snow had fallen by the time he got home that he scrapped the idea.

Instead we watched some Barn Builders before calling it a night.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!

Weigh In Day (Apr.26, 2021)

It's Monday and that means weigh in day (even though I just weighed in on Friday).

184.8lb
That's exactly the same as I was on Friday so no change since then but overall, 2 lbs down since last Monday so I think that's pretty great.

I got ready at lunch and headed out for a run.
I did Jason's route down the highway and around back to town - added a bit extra on because I was feeling good.
I still have to stop to walk at two uphill sections but I know if I keep trying, I'll be able to do the whole thing without stopping.

Took my selfies when I got back.

I really need to clean that mirror again.

It was nice enough out for Haylee to take Freya over to the park this afternoon and she posted these pictures of their outing.

Freya just loves getting out to the park.

Later in the day, they dropped her off to me so they could take a quick trip to WCT.
Which was fine with me because I love getting to hang out with her.

She just loves that bubba of hers.

She drinks so much that we've started just giving her mainly water with enough milk to make it look white.

She loves her YouTube too.

She has a little sentimental side.
I've noticed that last few times here that when she's watched videos that are sad she gets a little choked up.
She gets that honestly for sure.

Jason was hoping to see her when he got home but he ended up working late so she had already gone home when he finally did get home.

He headed out for a bike ride and he was gone so long that I started to get worried.
He ended up doing 25k.
One of these days, I'll go out and do it with him.
He's just so much faster than I that I feel like I'm holding him back.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
