Jason was up early and out for a run again this morning.
I had hoped I would be able to go too.
Last night I'd convinced Freya to let me go and I'd get Jen to come lay in bed with her while I was gone but then once we got in bed, she made me promise I wouldn't leave her.
I'm sure I could have gone anyway but it was a good excuse to stay with her - She's not going to want to snuggle with me forever so I need to take advantage while I can.
When Jason got home, we walked over to the bridge by the house for a very important ceremony.

It has a really nice big deck/porch but we haven't had much time to spend out there.
On the agenda for today was a sail.
My cousin Rodney was kind enough to take us all out for a sail so the plan was to meet at the run for 1 pm.
We got there a bit early so we checked out the fisheries.

While I was there, I popped in and picked up couple of cans of lobster paste to take home for Kody.

It wasn't the best weather when we got up but the sail is still a go - hopefully it will clear up.
Some of my favorite memories of PEI are going out for a sail with the family and doing some jigging so I'm super excited that we are able to share the experience now with Freya.
Fortunately lots of my family was able to make it.

My cousins husbands, Blair and Todd and Todd's buddy that happened to be visiting from Australia.
I met some of my cousins significant others for the first time today so that was nice.

In all my years of being out on the boat - I've never seen it before.

I think we caught about 8 fish all together, Rodney caught 1, Freya got 1, I got one and Jason got the rest.

I love being able to hang out with the family - I was able to have a good chat with Pam and catch up a bit on the news.

We spent several hours out on the boat then afterwards, a bunch of us headed over to Gerald's for a get together.

Freya and Quinn were interested in what she was doing.
Freya even wanted to help out.
She got right in there too.
The fish guts didn't scare her at all.

We took the girls to Shirley's Diner for some supper.
I went back to Gerald's because everyone was meeting up there to just hang out for the evening and Jason took the girls over to the park to play for a bit.
Freya spent a lot of time on the monkey bars.
It is currently one of her favorite things to do.
She's really good at it too.
I don't even think I could go across once but she does with ease and over and over again.
Back in Gerald's garage everyone was just hanging out and visiting.
I got to see a few more people that I hadn't gotten to see yet so that was nice.
At some point in the evening someone asked my cousin Paul's son Jed what he wanted to be when he grows up (he's currently around 8 yo I think) and he very firmly and seriously answered 'drug dealer'.
He said they make good money and don't have to pay taxes.
Ha ha.
While the adults visited in the barn, Freya and Quinn played outdoors then when the mosquitos got to bad, they hung out in the car.
The two of them got along so well.
