Three Years Already. (Dec.22, 2020)

On this day back in 2017, my Grandmother passed away and we all miss her dearly.

I can hardly believe it has been 3 years already.

The boys stayed over at my brother A's last night so it was pretty quiet around here when I got up.

Mom, my sister and my brother R all went to WCT to do some Christmas shopping so I had the house all to myself today while I worked.

I headed out at lunch to go for a walk but the sidewalk and driveway needed shoveled again so I did that first but it ended up taking me an hour and a half.

I've done more shoveling in the past week than I've done in the past 10 years combined.

I hate doing it but it is really good exercise.

I decided to head down to the office this afternoon for a bit to print a few things off that I needed to and to see if there were any parcels there for me.

I got a free sample from Amazon.

Apple chips.
I've never gotten a free sample from them before so that was kind of nice.
I had a parcel too - some pants I'd ordered for Mom from Ricki's that I'd forgotten all about.

BL was there at the office working and he dropped by my office to ask about something and we ended up having a nice, long chat.
He is such a nice man.

Miss H posted some cute pics of her and Baby F.

I think she had some kind of filter on maybe?

Doesn't matter - they both look as beautiful as ever.

Mr T updated his profile picture - these two sure have come a long way and I am so proud of both of them.
They are so mature and sensible and really hard workers - they really make a nice couple.

My brother brought the kids back over after the shoppers got back from WCT.

My son and brother R dropped over for a visit.
We were going to play a game but ended up watching funny animal videos instead.

Mom just loving having everyone around.
I think it is tiring for her but she doesn't care - she wouldn't want to miss a minute of it.

Baby F wanted to stay for the night so I said she could.

She got bored of videos and wanted a bath and Mr H wanted in too.

So I let him - he wanted to wear his undies in though and that was fine.

Making herself a beard.

When she decides she wants out, she wants out now.

Making silly faces at the camera.

She's so beautiful.

Mr H wanted in on the selfie fun.

He's my handsome little fellow.

After her bath, she wanted a hot bubba.

As you can see, what she wants when she is at Grandma and Papa's house, she gets.
I thought she was going to fall asleep and she did but only for a minute then she was up and going again with the kids.

She had me put on the Christmas glasses.
Do they suit me?

Getting mom to try on some glasses too.

This popped up on Facebook and it made me chuckle.
This is where we lived when we were in Germany.
I still remember my address and I left there when I was 9 years old.
Area 33, Block 2, Apartment 16.

The look on his face though!!!

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

Weigh In Surprise (Dec.21, 2020)

Today was weigh in day and I had totally, mentally prepared myself for a gain.

I was kind of thinking it would smarten me up a bit.

Lo and behold, I ended up with a loss.
I was kind of surprised.
200.6 lbs today.

That's a loss of 1 lb since last week and 72.4 lbs gone in total since I started.
In hindsight, while I did snack on lots of nuts and I didn't track my points for a couple of days, I did skip a few meals and I didn't really snack on anything else (well maybe some jujubes).
Overall though, I think I didn't do too badly and I made sure to still get my steps in so I think it paid off.

I made sure to get out for my walk today at lunch.
I shoveled out the driveway first and I was going to do the sidewalk but my neighbour's son did ours for us.
So nice of him.
Now that I've been walking everyday, I understand the importance of keeping the sidewalks cleared and I don't think I've ever shoveled as much as I have this year.
On the bright side, it is good exercise.

After work, I finished off my gnomes and snowmen.
I was glad to get them all done.

Then my sister and I went down to the store and I stopped by the hardware to add the snowmen to my display and a couple of the extra gnomes that I made.
My shelf was looking pretty empty.

My nephews were spending the night at my brother A's place tonight, they are watching them while my sister, mom and brother R head to WCT tomorrow to do some Christmas shopping.
So she and mom took them over there and stayed for a visit.

I stayed home and waited for My Honey to get home.
I picked up a roast chicken so we could have an actual meal.

We watched the final of this new show we discovered, Biggest Little Christmas Showdown.
Contestants build miniature themed Christmas displays and they are amazing.
I hope it comes back again next year.

Paddington was very happy to have just My Honey and I home so he could do a bit of snuggling.

I think having all the kiddos around has cramped his style.
He doesn't really like to come out when they are around so we don't see much of the kitties when the kids are here.

Some Facebook memories popped up I thought I would share.
We had a family get together on this day back in 2017.

Miss A drew a picture of her big sissy M and we framed it for her.
She is quite the little artist and has only improved since then.
I think she is very talented.

Mr H being very meticulous in his gift opening procedure.

Nanny got him this big dinosaur robot and he loved it.

Just hanging out together is a fun thing to do.

Cutest little Rudolph I ever did see.

Chilling with the family is the best!

I saw this on Instagram - a trailer for a movie that looks like it might be pretty good, The White Tiger.
I'll have to keep my eye out for it.

My Tante M posted these pictures (not hers) of real mountains in Peru.
They are just stunning.

Add these to the bucket list of places I'd like to visit some day.

This world is chalk full of amazing places and I just wish I could see them all!

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!

Discovering Jackbox TV (Dec.20, 2020)

I actually slept in a little this morning, until around 8:30 am, I think I needed it!

When I did get up, my sister and nephews were already up watching an Avenger's movie.

They are kind of still on Atlantic time so they have been getting up super early.

Mr H and Miss A slept in a bit later but they needed it, they were up late.

My Honey was busy at work preparing for their Sunday bbq.

He made this giant meatloaf covered in bacon - bet it is going to be yummy.

He also made a couple of pies, one of them is a new invention of his, creamsicle pie, and I can't wait to taste it.
I'm hoping there is a slice left that he can bring home for me to try.

My sister made the kiddos pancakes for breakfast and I made myself an omelet.
I'm really going to try to stay away from the darn nuts today - I swear, they are my kryptonite.

I made sure to get out for a walk today.
I needed the steps and the fresh air and it was a bit windy but not too bad.
It always feels good to get a walk in.

BH made herself a sign just like the one we made for NCT.
It turned out great!

NCT wanted to use the projector screen at work to draw out another stencil for her hubby to cut out so she dropped by this afternoon and picked me up and we went to the office and got that done for her.
She's making a sign that says 'Happy Birthday Jesus' to put between two angels that she has.
She's always busy doing something and just lucky for our town that she is totally focused these days on beautifying it!

I stopped down at the hardware today and noticed my shelf is almost empty so I really want to get a few more things completed to add to it.

The kids all went over to my brothers for a visit this afternoon and my mother and sister headed over to visit my niece.

I opted to stay home and work on getting some of these completed.
I got a lot completed.
The gnomes just need beards and noses added and the snowmen need the detail work.
I'm hoping to get them done and down to the store tomorrow.

I agree although I wouldn't paint the whole country with the same brush.
I do agree though that just handing out money doesn't solve anything - most people don't want handouts, they want the opportunity to be able to work and provide for their families and not supporting oil & gas and getting pipelines built is really having a negative affect on the whole country.
It's really a disservice to our whole country.

My son dropped by tonight with Baby F and my niece Miss M came over as well to hang out and play games.

My sister introduced to to Jackbox TV.
She'd played if before and said it was a lot of fun so we figured out how to buy it on the Amazon Firestick.
We picked this pack and once you get it on the tv, everyone who wants to play just logs into their phone and plays from there.
We tried a few games.
You Don't Know Jack which was a trivia game - it was fun but it has a limit of 4 players.
Then we tried drawful - it can handle up to 8 players and it was a lot of fun, it ended up being our favorite and it was kid friendly for the most part - my sister did have to help her boys a little.
We also tried Word Spud but we didn't understand it and we just turned it off a few minutes in.

All in all, we really enjoyed Jackbox TV and I think I'll likely end up buying a few more games.
They aren't cheap though so I want to make sure I buy a pack that has some good games in it.

I did end up getting into the nuts tonight so I'm dreading weigh in tomorrow.
Maybe I need a bit of a gain to put things into perspective?

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
