Jason got up super early and headed out for a run while I stayed and slept in with the girls.
They both had a very good sleep and slept in quite late.
When they got up, we didn't have much time to go swimming so we decided to stay a second night just so we would have more time.
Jason checked to see if we could keep this room, it was booked so we had to move but we just moved right next door so it was easy.
We got our stuff moved over then took the girls down for a swim in the hotel pool.
Then it was back to the room to get ready to head out.
First stop was breakfast.
We ordered Eden pancakes, sausage and fruit.
She at the sausage and the strawberries.
Jason ran into the dollar store and got the girls each a toy dog.
I think Eden likes it.
Freya is so good with her and I just love Eden's little laugh.
We also got Starbucks - I got my matcha lavender drink and Freya got cake pops.
We got Eden an cake pop too - she took a little nibble and that was it.
We went to an industrial section of Edmonton and noticed a prairie dog crossing the street.
We didn't know what it was at first but when we realized, we also realized they were everywhere.
So we pulled over and watched them for a bit.
We did some shopping at Homesense/Winners and I've been feeling like I want to get into drawing lately so I got some new markers and an art book, got one of those for Freya too because she goes through them like nothing.
If I'm wearing red, I'm adopted.
Interesting logic.
She picked out this top at Winners and just had to change into it right away.
Then it was off to Hu's Noodle Nook for ramen.
We took the new book and some pencil crayons into the restaurant with us and Freya drew this for me.
She is such a good artist.
Another first for Eden - ramen.
The ramen is so good here.
This is Jason's Black Tonkotsu
We got this chicken teriyaki rice dish for Eden because we realized she loves rice.
She ate some of it - she did not like the chicken.
Jason tasted it and said it wasn't that good.
I gave her some of the noodles from my ramen (I had the Tan Tan).
She did like those.
She was slurping them up - it was so cute, just like a pro.
Guess we have another ramen lover in the family.
We took the girls to the park to play.
I kept Eden entertained while Jason and Freya played.
They are doing some renovations at St Albert place and they had some fencing up with these wood slat people.
Makes the construction site much more interesting.
Then it was back to the hotel pool for another round of swimming.
The pool was packed with people.
We bought a swimming vest for Eden - she seemed to like it ok.
I'm not sure if she's as into swimming as Freya was when she was little.
She got cozied up in bed again with the bug smashing game on my tablet.
She looked so cute sitting there the way she was.
She was a little more wired tonight and we thought it would be tough to get her to sleep but once we turned the lights out, both girls were out pretty quickly again.
That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
