So we got up this morning, packed up and headed out.
Jason took Professor Snuggles with him and mom and I had the other two.
Paddington does not do well in the car so when we got to Whitecourt, we stopped at the hotel to see if there was any possible way we could get into our rooms early.
They didn't have both rooms ready but they did have one which was great so we were able to put the cats in there.
Mom decided to take that room and she was tired so she just wanted to hang out in there.
We met up with Haylee, Crystal and the girls at a bakery in town to grab some lunch to go then we all headed out to Hard Luck Canyon.
It's a little bit of a hike but not bad so doable with kids.
The kids took their shoes and socks off immediately so they could dip their toes in the water.
We were here once before and water has gotten really low since then.
It's pretty and you can walk along the rocks beside the creek or even in the creek.
Eden liked the sandy cliffs.
She was even trying to climb up the rocks like the big girls were.
It was hard though.
I had to take a selfie to document that I was here too otherwise there would be no proof.
The river/creek came from around a corner then headed out around another corner and it looked so inviting.
She wasn't worried at all about getting dirty.
Climbing the rocks and bare feet no less.
I'm a baby when it comes to my feet and the rocks hurt them so my shoes stayed on.
We came from way up there.
I was happy to watch they others climb from a safe distance.
Eden on the other hand wanted to get right in there - we had to hold her back or she would have been trying to scale right up the cliff.
Zepplyn climbed up a level.
Eden wanted to also and was so upset when we wouldn't let her.
Eden loved playing in the dirt.
She was finding sticks and rocks and all kinds of neat things that she was giving to us.
Having a picnic lunch.
I didn't think to bring my lunch with me so I'll have to wait until we get back to the car.
Crystal and Zepplyn remembered to bring theirs.
Showing us her dance moves.
She's a budding choreographer!
Resting with Papa.
We went to Boston Pizza for supper and took all three girls.
Freya was ravenous.
She ate all of the chicken wings we ordered for her, part of Jason's lasagna and the left overs of Zepplyn's spaghetti.
We took the girls to the park for a bit after supper.
Not too sure if she's enjoying the swinging thing or not.
It was a nice way to let them run off some energy.
I think she was having so much fun.
Papa is so good at playing with the kids.
Eden had an encounter with Papa Gorilla (one of Jason's characters he becomes when playing with the kiddos).
You can't get me Papa.
Papa - she can say his name so clearly and it sounds so cute when she does.
Both girls were spending the night with us at the hotel and they needed baths but we didn't have a bath in our room so sink it was.
She didn't mind at all, I think she kind of liked it.
That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
