Celebrating Whitney's First Birthday and Dance Show Case (May 24, 2025)

This weekend is 'clean up' weekend in town so there are some yard sales going on.

Some started last night actually and Freya and Haylee checked one out and found this puzzle that Freya got for me.

That was so kind of her to think of me!
She is a kind and thoughtful girl - very considerate of other peoples feelings.

She wanted to go look at more yard sales this morning and she wanted Zepplyn to come with us so we picked her up and went to a few.

They have a dance recital tonight and they were having their last practice for it today so I dropped them off.

They made these signs and had them posted at the community center in the entrance for everyone to see tonight when they come to the dance.

Freya's.

Morgan is having Whitney's first birthday today so she and Kalem have been blowing up balloons for decorations.

I think Whitney approves.

I picked the girls up from dance and Eden then we headed over to Morgan's for Whitney's birthday party.

Morgan put a lot of effort into the food and decor for today and it looks fantastic.
The theme was Fairy First Birthday.

She had butterfly shaped sandwiches.

Fruit skewers which are a huge hit.

Dipped cookies - these look so good.

There were salads - lots of healthy options today.

Fairy adorned cupcakes.

Then these whimsical potted pinwheels.

She had them 'planted' in her flower box.

They were meant to be favors for everyone to take home with them.

They had this little note with them - what a cute idea.

The gift pile.

Visiting with her Grandma - love her little fairy wings.

The Belle of the Ball today.

With Mommy.

Four generations - Whitney with her mom, grandma and great grandma.

Nice family picture.

Sweet smiley girl.

She loves her mama.

Sitting with Mom and visiting with the family.

It was a nice day and the kids were playing in the yard.

Eden does this little thing where she walks with her hands on her knees and it looks so funny.

It's My Party!

Cake time.

Happy birthday Whitney.

After we sang to her, they let her at her smash cake.

Mom helped out a little.

So did Dad.

Yum, this is good.

Want a taste Mom?

Enjoying her birthday smash cake.

Well that was fun!

While Whitney was digging into her cake, Eden was playing in the bouncy house.

She loved it.

All the kids got in there - I thought it was small but they all fit.

Bouncy house fun.

All the kids were having fun.

Just laughing her little heart out.

Then it time to open gifts.

Eden and Freya chilled on the couch right by her to watch.

They just sat so nicely and watched and didn't try to get into her things at all which kids sometimes do so that was nice.

Wonder what is in here?

Checking in with Nanny.

I think these two might grow up to be besties.

She got a little bike.

And Kalem's family got her this monogrammed backpack and hat which looked so cute.

Overall it was a great party - a wonderful celebration of a beautiful little girl.
Morgan is such a good mom and so creative - she really put so much effort into the party today and I thought it all turned out great.

We had to leave because Zepplyn and Freya had to go get ready for their dance showcase tonight we headed out and I dropped them off at their places to get ready.
I have no idea how to do the dance hair and make up so I had to leave that to their moms.

Jason was cooking pizza at his parents today in the clay oven.
I wish I was there to have some.

The dance showcase started at 7 so Mom and I headed over there.

Zepplyn had a few different dances.

Her first one was a lyrical duet.

Freya just did the one hip hop number.
They did a great job.

Zepplyn also did a hip hop number.

The whole showcase took about 2 hours.

Then they did an awards ceremony where their instructor gave them each a trophy.

Getting her award.

Posing with Miss V.

Very proud of her.

A couple of happy girls right there.

Freya came over to my place again for another sleepover.
She went down and wrapped up a gift for me.
She does it lots, picks out some stuff then Mom helps her to wrap.
I think it was a stuffy.

It's so nice that she likes to give gifts to people, she is so kind.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
