Happy to be Home Seeing Our Girls (May 11, 2025)

Our Toronto trip has come to an end, we are flying home today.

This is the bedroom.

The bed was super comfortable - I'd stay here again just to sleep in it.

This is the living room area that it had.

This is the table or desk area.

It sounds kind of horrible but we spent a lot of time watching the homeless people down in the street below.

It was sad how many of them there were and they were sleeping right on the middle of the sidewalk.

Just about every corner we could see from our room had a homeless person sleeping on the street.

We later figured out that they were sleeping on the vents which had heat or steam coming up through them so that makes sense.

We were flying out at 10 am so we were up, packed, checked out and walking to the train station by 7:30 am.

The flight was uneventful which is just the way I like it.
When we landed in Edmonton the weather was gorgeous.
It was earlier in the day so we decided to stop in Devon and go for a walk (for me), run (for Jason).

I put my headphones in and listened to my book and headed out.

I walked down to the river.

I got so warm that I had to take my cardigan off.

I love that all the leaves are coming out on the trees and they look so vibrant and such a fresh shade of green.

These leaves were neat looking.

Devon is a pretty little town - we've come on this path a few times and this house always sticks out to me - I really like it.

I got back a bit before Jason and treated myself to a pistachio ice cream.

When he got back, we went to the Thai restaurant right there that we like to have lunch/supper.
They had Tom Kha Gai so I had some of that.

Then I had to basil pork.
I really liked it last time I had it but I thought it was ground pork - this was not that.
Plus, I think they gave us regular rice instead of coconut rice so that was kind of a bummer.

Jason had the green curry.
He really likes it, it is good but it was a bit too spicy for me.

Then it was back to the hills so we could see the kiddos.
We stopped and picked up Freya our way through because we couldn't wait to see her.

We brought her home some gifts and of course she knew that we'd have stuff for her so she went looking for it right away.
Jason had found this pack that had a bunch of plastic eggs with all kinds of different treats inside like squishies and magnetic sand and even some slim to my dismay.

She thought it was just great and enjoyed opening up every one of them.

I'm back to work tomorrow but Jason is still off for a couple more days so Freya spent the night with us and Jason will take her to school in the morning.

Our trip to the big TO was great but it is nice to be home and see our girl.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
