We were up early and heading out for a run/walk again.
Jason was running 10k again, I was feeling exhausted and just didn't have it in me to run today so I just walked.
I happened upon this beachy, sandy area although I'm not too sure if you can swim in the water - I'm not sure if I would.
It would be a great space to hang out for the day to read or have a picnic though.
Nice view of the CN Tower in behind it.
I was feeling so tired that I even considered just getting myself a coffee, finding a nice bench to sit on and waiting for Jason to finish up.
I kept going though and managed to walk just over 5k so I was happy with that.
Then it was back to the room to clean up and change then off to find some breakfast.
We ended up just going to a Baby Stacks.
I had eggs, bacon, rye bread and hash which I only ate some of.
The area we were in had some really cool murals.
Love it.
We walked around, did some shopping then we were ready to eat again and we were nearby this pizza place that we really enjoyed last time so we went there again.
North of Brooklyn Pizzeria.
It's just a small little place, only 3 tables.
Pretty excited for the pizza we are about to have.
We didn't have to wait long before it was ready.
We got a vodka one that had a spiral of pesto on it.
And we got the Killer Bee
It is fantastic pizza - we loved it last time and we loved it again.
Now this pizza we would go out of our way for!
It was a nice neighborhood so we just walked around after we ate.
Just random things we saw on our walk.
Cute shoes in a store window.
Everyone out enjoying the gorgeous sunny day.
I always think about my childhood friend, Tracy Curley when I'm in Toronto.
She lived here and was a medicinal marijuana advocate.
She was a year younger than me but passed away from complications of diabetes a few years ago and I always wonder if this was the neighborhood she lived in or if she hung out here.
Just what life was like for her - she definitely looked like she lived it to the fullest.
It feels unfair that she isn't still here and so I make sure that I remember to be grateful for everything that I am able to do and be since she no longer can.
This boot on the store front reminds me of when we were in England, we went to an older area full of shops and there were loads of them that had these giant shoes (and other items) hanging outside of their shops.
We ended up near a park so we took a walk through.
Everyone was out enjoying the sunshine.
I do mean everyone - it was loaded with people.
The blossoms on the trees are so beautiful.
Pretty good view of the CN Tower from here even though we were quite far away.
We happened to pass by this bakery, Bocados Bake Shop.
They happened to have cookies in the window like the ones we'd had yesterday at the pizza place.
Turns out this is the bakery that supplies them.
I just had to go in and get another of the pistachio ones like we tried yesterday.
We also tried a biscotti one and we got a slice of key lime tres leches.
Then we really just spent the afternoon walking around and exploring.
I think murals are so fun.
I love seeing them - they are just so interesting.
Giant inflatable moose - who know why?
We passed by the CTV building.
This car smashed into the side of it looked pretty cool.
I love all the details above the archway and the archway itself.
Another great mural.
We decided to rent some bikes again and just go for a bike ride.
I wimped out and got an electric bike but I just loved it.
I could have biked all day long.
Jason stuck to a regular bike - he's no wimp, that is for sure.
We followed the trail we took on our run the other day and it took us out to this really nice park.
This guy was pushing his dog around in a baby carriage, the dog looked like he was enjoying himself.
We stopped a few times just to take in the views.
Hard to believe this is in the biggest city in Canada - it seems so 'nature-ie'.
Out for a sail.
Looking back at the Toronto skyline.
I was getting a picture of Jason.
Then a couple that was there offered to take a picture of both of us which was very kind.
This was underneath and overpass.
There it is again - you can see it from everywhere here.
We had planned on going out for some dinner but by the time we got back from our bike ride, we had just enough time to change and head over to the show we got tickets for tonight.
Nikki Glaser.
The seats that we had were really great.
The show was a lot of fun - she is really funny.
She had two opening acts - they were also funny.
After the show we found a spot for some supper, Hakata Ikkousha.
We ate at the sister restaurant last time we were here.
It was busy, as soon as a table would empty, it would immediately fill up again.
My Honey.
Moi.
I had the black tonkotsu.
It was ok
We also had gyoza.
Yum yum.
Then it was back to the room to pack up and get ready - we fly home tomorrow.
Ha ha ha.
Got a few steps in today!
