Day at the Lake House (May 28, 2025)

It was a pretty tight sleeping arrangement but we got to stretch out a little when Jason left for work.

I got up and made a coffee and the girls slept in a bit later.

They look so darling when they are sleeping, like little angels.

I enjoyed a coffee out on the deck while they were still snoozing.

It was so nice and peaceful.

Eden woke up happy!

The girls were playing around making videos.

They were trying to film Eden and she didn't want any part of it.

Rob came over to visit with us for today.

Mom went down this morning and raked up the beach area so the girls were able to go our there and play.

There were some beach toys in the shed that the girls were able to make use of.

On a mission.

Neither Kody & Haylee nor Crystal were able to make it out this way and I didn't feel like driving to Whitecourt and back either so it ended up that all three girls were going to stay with us a second night.

Mom and the girls and I went into Barrhead for a quick trip though to get a few groceries and things we needed.
Plus it was just something to do to keep the girls occupied.

Talking to mom on the 'phone'.

It was a gorgeous evening and when Jason got home from work, we went back down to the lake and some of us even got right in.
We'd raked out some of the slime so it was even kind clear in a small space by the beach.

The water was a really nice temperature.

Eden was splashing away.

An evening dip.

She was having a time out there.

'Toilet Hand!"

So story behind this:
At the house one day, the girls caught Eden with her hand in the toilet (it was clean) and they were yelling saying that Eden had a toilet hand.
She started chasing them with her hand out pretending she was going to touch them with her 'dirty' hand and now it's become a thing.
She'll suddenly put her hand up like this and chase after us and we'll say "oh no, toilet hand" and run away from her and she thinks it's hilarious.
So she was doing a version of that here.

I love this picture of her in the calm water with the sun setting behind her.

Needless to say we had to give her a shower after this but she enjoyed herself immensely.

Zepplyn in the sunlight.

Freya didn't get in the water - she stuck to Papa mostly.

We all went for a short walk up the road so I could get the rest of the steps in that I needed then it was back to the house for showers and to get ready for bed.

While the girls were playing today, I worked on a puzzle.
I just kind of worked on it throughout the day but by the time Jason got home from work I was done.

That is all for today, until next time, be happy!
