Build-A-Bear, GalaxyLand and Farrow (Nov.28, 2021)

It was chilly and icy out there again so my fear of slipping stopped me from heading outside for a run.

So it was back to the hotel gym for me.

I got 1.52 miles in then I had to stop and go to the bathroom.
I was afraid it would reset while I was gone so I snapped a picture of my totals.

I'm glad I did because it had reset so I hopped back on and did another 2.2 miles.
All in all I did 3.74 miles or 6 km.

Snapped some sweaty selfies.

We packed up and checked out then headed over to the mall where we were going to meet everyone else.
Jason wanted to take the girls into the Build a Bear work shop so they could each get one.
There was a huge line up there yesterday so we wanted to get there first thing this morning and it was perfect, there was barely anyone around.

I am not sure entirely that Freya understood what it was all about but she picked her bear out - she picked a rainbow one of course.

I'd never done it before but they have all this process they go through with each one.
This is where Freya was giving her bear all his blessings.

There he is - Peanut Butter Jelly is what she named him.

Zepplyn knew what the whole build a bear thing was about - she picked a unicorn that she named Emily.

Zepplyn going through the blessing process with her bear.

They picked out and outfit and some shoes for their bears and that was that.

We headed to the food court to grab some lunch and the girls dressed their bears (and unicorns).

She was pretty happy about the whole thing.

Freya liked hers too.

Grandma and Freya.

We took them over to Galaxy Land and let them go on a couple rides.

They went on the carousel first.

Then there were some little rides by it that they wanted to try out.
This little carousel was weird, it went backwards.

She tried out the airplane.

Zepplyn tried out a horse.

Then the girls went for a ride on this ride that looked like a ferris wheel but it was these hot air balloon looking things.

Lastly they went on a little mini roller coaster.

This was Freya's first roller coaster ride and she seemed to enjoy it.

After that, the kids left for home and we did a bit of shopping in the mall.
When we finished that, we decided to check out this sandwich shop that we'd always wanted to for lunch.

Farrow.

They are open every day from 9 - 7.

It was just a small place and you couldn't eat indoors.

There was artwork all over the ceiling.

They had a very small menu, only four sandwich options.

Jason picked the Pimento She Better Don't and I had the Chief Beef.

Jason's sandwich.

There's mine - doesn't it look gorgeous.
It was absolutely delicious.

They had a chocolate croughnut too that we just had to try, I've never had one before.

It was filled with cream and it was delicious too.

We went shopping at Walmart and Jason tried on a Canadian Tuxedo (jean jacket).

After shopping, we headed to the River Cree Casino which will be home for the next two nights.
We did a bit of gambling - neither of us was lucky but I only spent $20 bucks so I didn't feel that bad about it.

We stopped and had a snack at one of the restaurants in there before going back to our room.
We had calamari.

We also had a crab and roasted red pepper dip.
Both were just ok.

What I really went there for was this - sticky toffee pudding.
It was dry though and a bit disappointing unfortunately.

It was a good weekend!

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
