Will Spring Ever Get Here? (Apr.3, 2025)

We've been having such cold weather and still getting snow and it's still like winter over here which is a bit depressing honestly.

Jason sent me this picture of some dandelions in bloom that he came across out in the field to assure me that spring is on the way.
It will get here eventually.

Haylee is back to being a brunette and I think it really suits her.

I had another busy day today, so many meetings and one ran really late into my lunch hour then I had another right after lunch so at lunch I just ran and picked up the mail, made myself a protein shake then headed right back to work.

I picked up this Good Protein on the weekend in the city and I'm really loving it.
I had it with Skim Milk the first time but 1 cup of that is 3 points and unsweetened almond milk is only 1 point for 2 cups so I've switched to that and I really look forward to having it each day.
I got the Chocolate Fudge flavor but I'd like to try some of the other available flavors.

Since I wasn't able to get my run in at lunch time, I hopped on the treadmill as soon as I got home from work.

I did a walk/run combo today - walked for a minute then ran for a minute.

I started out just running but it felt hard today for some reason.

I watched Fixer to Fabulous then Hometown Takeover to pass the time.

I was super sweaty when I finished up and proud of myself for doing it.

Not long after I finished I got a call saying Freya wanted to come visit so I went and picked her up.
She wanted to have her friend over again so we called Jason (he works with Dakota's dad so has his number).
He called to try to arrange a play date for the weekend but they are going to the water park in the mall so instead he invited Freya to come over right now - the kids were outside jumping on the trampoline.

So Jason took her over there when he got home from work for about a half hour or so.

She wanted to stay longer but it is a school night.

So she and Jason went downstairs to play again - she just wasn't herself, she was feeling a little warm and I asked if she felt sick, she said she did.

Jason said she told him downstairs 'you don't want to get this sickness, it's terrible'.
What a girl - so dramatic.

I took her home later and l could tell that she really wasn't feeling well - Haylee said she was kind of complaining earlier in the day about a sore throat.
Hopefully this is as bad as it gets and she's feeling better tomorrow.

That's all for today, until next time, be happy!
