I Might Have a Puzzle Obsession (Mar.23, 2025)

After everyone went home last night I cleaned up then decided to start a 1000 piece puzzle around 8:30 pm

I thought I'd just sort the pieces and maybe get the edge done but once I started I couldn't stop.

I went down and tucked Freya into Alivia's bed because she wanted to sleep down there with Hunter - she's done this the past few nights but she always ends up coming up and getting in with Jason and I.

So Jason went off to bed and I continued working on the puzzle thinking that when Freya came up, I would go to bed with her.

Next thing you know, Jason came out and I thought he was checking on me to see when I was coming to bed but no, he was getting up because it was morning.

I stayed up all night long working on the puzzle and I didn't even realize it.

 

I finished it up not long after Jason got up so right around 6 am which means it took me about 9.5 hours to do it.

I watch Karen Puzzles (a puzzling vlogger) and her average time for a 1000 piece puzzle is under 4 hours.

Guess I won't be going to the world puzzle championships anytime soon.

I stayed up until Jason left for work then I went to bed hoping to get a few hours of sleep in before the kiddos got up.

I did manage to get a few hours in and I didn't feel that bad actually.

I wasn't up to running though so I just got on the treadmill and walked to get my steps in.

I walked for almost an hour and a half and I took a picture of my final stats on the treadmill but it did that disappearing thing and I didn't notice until it was too late.

Freya joined me and did some working out of her own.

I'm glad that she is interested in fitness - it's a great step.

Whitney turned 10 months old today so Morgan posted some pictures.

She's standing up all on her own now and I'm sure she'll be walking in no time.

Such a big beautiful genuine smile - I love it.
